There is one story with him and Watson stopping a German spy at the start of WW1 and his final words are patriotically in support of Great Britian so, depending on if he even knew what Nazis were at the start, since from his privileged position, much like the moon, they wouldn't affect him much, the moment the UK declared war on Germany, he would be very much on the UK side.

    Oh most definitely, yes.

I'm more thinking that period while they were coming into power.

Indiana jones is set before the states entered the war I thought. And who knows maybe holmes is an outlier for his time and lives a long time.

There's a Batman issue from 1987 where Batman meets Holmes, and it's implied that he's discovered secrets of near-immortality in the mountains of Tibet.

All the rich British who were nazi sympathisers considered themselves patriots. What the Nazis did was frightfully unpleasant but one needed to stop the spread of the mongrel hordes

I'd like to think Sherlock Holmes would be appalled by Nazis, though perhaps not for the same reason as the rest of us.

Holmes: "This man walks with a measured gait and posture that surely marks him as a military man, his coat sits stiffly on him, suggesting he's started wearing it recently, likely a recent departure from the services, but it is both old and of good quality, no doubt an heirloom that would place his family as part of the landed gentry, such a man could not escape having officerdom thrust upon him, a former colonel I'd wager."

Nazi: "This man is evil because he is a Jew."

Holmes: "... Watson, fetch my pistol."

Ok I have more time now
there's a group running outdoor murder mystery games across the country, you get prizes for costumes. And for best dog costume. I've signed up for one in oakland with my covid bubble.

They're doing quite a lot to keep things socially distanced though obviously can't really control what the players get up to. How safe it is probably depends a lot on the size of the city and the choices made by the participants. In the east bay we're all very masked and cautious though, so I'm not too worried
