i'm currently living in Japan and in Japanese 'ike' is basically a command to 'go go go!' or more casually, just to go ahead and do (whatever)

so in order to avoid the ike's of March here in Tokyo, I will spend the entire day neither going anywhere nor doing anything

it's a tough sacrifice, but i think it's worth it

合い口, 合口, 相口, all pronounced “aikuchi” and often abbreviated as “aiku”, meaning “chum, pal”; homonym- 匕首, pronounced “aikuchi” or “hishyu”, meaning “dagger” or “stiletto”.

Japanese is full homonyms as it has very few vowels and extremely simple rules for syllable formation, and if you think puns are bad in English, hooooooo boy.
