Every so often, surfing the forums manages to trigger my antivirus now. I’m running Kaspersky and Ad Block Plus, and every so often it beeps and tells me it blocked the download of “not-a-virus:HEUR:AdWare.Script.Pusher.gen“
Did some amateur google-fu and apparently it’s some kind of ad thing that hits Google ad service things?
Got two more overnight- this one about 11 last night (near Kalamazoo, MI), on iPad, running the latest iOS:
Not sure if hemp oil is one of the things the forum wants to be pushing, but... better safe than sorry.
...and this one, about two hours later, which is behind a spoiler because of NSFW:
This is the second one for this particular product I've seen; I wasn't fast enough with the screengrab to get the first one. It's an adult game made to interact with an adult toy aimed at guys, the toy is hidden behind the black because better safe than sorry. I know this one's against the rules.

Now that it's been 2 weeks or so since the ads went live, would it be possible to make the announcement dismissable?

I mostly run login containers so PA's ad profile from which they draw from should be rather restricted to content from PA (also I don't use any of this shit).
Knowing google adsense it is probably scraping data from text on the pages and the average PAer in general's browsing habits. So some of our threads are probably triggering the less than desirable ads.
Most of the ones I get are for shit like humble bundle but every now and then one of these fuckers squeaks in. There was a vacuum one today because of the vacuum thread in H/A I probably browsed. I've gotten a few NRA/Political ones, and a few NSFW ones.

I'm getting lots of nsfw-ish bikini girls/topless lying prone type, like those linked/screencapped above.
I don't see ads because I'm a patreon supporter, but the blue space at the top keeps changing size vertically (not like every second or anything, but just every so often)
I don't notice it on my phone, but on my pc it's obvious (current firefox if it matters)

(Picture includes skimpy bathing suit; I redacted it cause I don't want to look up the actual rules around this stuff.)
Seen ~9:44am PST, Bellevue WA, Firefox.
I just got this one as well. About 1:56 PM EDT, Central Indiana, Chrome latest stable beta.
I was catching up on the conspiracy thread, watching a video in an embedded twitter post, and this happened about halfway through the video.

I know you said you were looking into these, but I wasn't sure if you still wanted data on them.

Uh, yeah, so, pretty sure we shouldn't be getting porn. Especially porn about teenagers running sex hotels with their teachers.
Or maybe it's just super weird creepy DEFINITELY a thing you'd be banned for trying to make a thread about.
E:
There's apparently a bunch, and even if they're not outright porn (and not clicking on that shit to find out), it's all stuff like "Let's Make Love at a Love Hotel," "Tonight We Exchange Husbands," "The Unobtainable Saki-san's Guide to Self-Pleasure" etc
hmm.. I'm not exactly sure what happened, but it looks like all my PA tabs in an up-to-date firefox on an up-to-date Windows 10 just crashed, and somehow took the whole browser with them. might have been something on my side though
I kind of doubt PA wants to be affiliated with white nationalists
Edit: It ended up being way too big because there is still no good way to shrink the file size of IOS photos, but this was an ad for Fox Nation with Tucker Carlson front and center

Nope. Never been able to figure out that stuff on my iPad.
Been also getting ads in the MMO section for paid boosting services in WoW- last I researched, that kind of thing broke Blizzard's ToS something fierce...
I don’t ever browse the forums incognito but my physical location is not always what websites seem to think it is.
Twitter’s ad software always seems to think I’m in Maryland instead of Washington State.

I'm having the same issue. When I'm logged into Patreon / ClubPA, it incorrectly loads the *space* for an ad and then correctly never serves it to me. It looks hella janky. Strangely, when I have uBlock or Privacy Badger on, the layout is flush against the top of the page.
