@ArcTangent can you send me a location and what browser you were using? It helps narrow down what we need to filter out.
Firefox 88.0 64bit, Portland, OR. I will note that I frequently jump on and off my work's VPN on this network, which occasionally has some weird, fucky effects on location stuff that I don't understand well. eg Some time last week, all my Youtube ads were suddenly in Italian for fuck only knows what reason.

Yeah, I’ve started to get Newzgeeks ads again. Safari on iPad in Alabama.

Newzgeeks again. Kent, WA. Edge.
Edit: Also, basically immediately afterwards, Virtual Mate and Lezhin Comics ads as well.
Brody on
"I will write your name in the ruin of them. I will paint you across history in the color of their blood."
Edit: I was referring to newzgeek.net in my post, though popcornews.com is the EXACT same page, just under a different name. Very clickbait-y ads for sure. And I’m sure the ad department is telling whoever they are buying the ads from that this is a 13 and up site content wise, but they really seem to just be ignoring that.
And if you go to the site, it isn’t at all porn (not that I’m disappointed) so the company is very safe for work, but they use clickbait to get people to view their site. It’s more or less like those sites that have tons of news on celebrities, pop culture, and the rest. Just really generic stuff.
On the other hand, I have been getting ads for a very right leaning survey on whether illegal immigrants should get benefits - like Medicare, stimulus, etc. Knowing PA, I was thinking it was going to be a more left viewing kind of thing so I checked it out. Nope, patriots all over the place, and now a constant bombardment of my email account wih them trying to get me to sign up further (when I answered the first survey question it wanted my email, after that the bias of the survey got a lot stronger).
When I can get a picture of the ad I will, but the company is UnitedVoice.com. I highly doubt that PA wants to be seen to be pushing ads for such a group. And now I’m getting requests to support Trump and buy Trump Coins. I need to find an unsubscribe button here. - Which I did after I posted this.
Edit 2: if it helps, I’m on iPadOS 14.5 using Chrome in desktop mode. I live in Gloucester, VA. This area is VERY red, so that could be why these ads are being served here? Very much Trump country. Though I really don’t feel they belong though. Plus I don’t go around viewing such things myself, so it isn’t getting it from my search history, Has to be IP location based.
Did we get a conclusion on whether full screen interstitials are intended behaviour or not? I'm getting them fairly frequently for one of those scam ceramic ball detergent things under the name "ecoegg"

I clicked the adsense feedback thing and reported it as inappropriate. Now it's serving me the same ad every 2 rotations. Huzzah?
Apparently “ad is inappropriate” is a secret code for “I want to see this a lot” because the same thing is happening to me.
