No, no, as long as everyone else just keeps on trying to do all the work in the relationship and accepts the casual neglect it will all be great.

I find the idea that Tony is salvageable, or that his issues somehow excuse all the shit he has done (or more accurately, not done), distasteful.
He had all the tools he needed to if not fix the problems, then atleast explain them to others.
And honestly, i am kinda starting to dislike Donald for enabling him, or atleast not intervening on his treatment of Annie.

Galore is working through some things in Feast For A King. The comic is frequently NSFW.

Not sure if this veers more into Dark Souls or SMT.

Is it just me or did that last line kind of rhyme with “I am invincible!” Or “this ship is unsinkable!” No? Because it sure sounded like final stage boss speech to me. He’s even got a glowing weak point….

I mean ain't Jaggy kind of contradicting himself there? First he's saying that a champion beats all the big bad demiurges and then reality is remade so it doesn't matter... and then he goes "I have little memory of the cycles beyond an absolute certainty that I have always beaten the chosen champion an inconceivable amount of times."

Two things there that stick out to me.

The focus on a "boy" being chosen. It would seem to matter that this time a girl has been chosen but so far nobody has really asked why. Indeed before Jags nobody even seemed to realize that he had before. This isn't new information but the more it gets repeated the more clear it is an intentional detail.

And the other is just me being a nerd. A sword you say!?!?

The chosen champion has previously embraced the power of the Key and used it to topple all the demiurges from their respective kingdoms. Jagganoth has no kingdom or rule, so the chosen champion takes the throne, builds up their forces, then goes to attack Jagganoth as the remaining demiurge. At which point Jagganoth crushes them because he can't be hurt and that's all the chosen champions have ever been capable of doing. They used the power of creation in the same respect as an especially sharp rock.

They always get to the throne. It always gets reset.

Jagganoth always fights. He always wins.

Like I am finding it darkly hilarious that Jagg is all "They always succeed and get to the throne, and then it gets reset, I don't know why I gets reset though" and then "Oh and then I slaughter everyone after they take the throne"

Jagganoth's the True Heir, he just fucks it up. He's probably had this idea before, but you can't break the wheel like that.

Shouldn't Jagganoth realize things are way off this time though? Allison never defeated the demiurges, she never took the Throne, even him attacking early is now firmly outside the realm of continuity.

I think Jagganoth falls squarely in the "is in the cycle but refuses to accept it"

Like, don't take what he says as gospel. We just know that the wheel gets reset and that Zoss is the one that does it after Jagganoth slaughters everyone.

Oh I'm not. For one thing he thinks that getting the Key and mastering the Wheel will let him break it. Zoss on the other hand has explicitly said no one who masters the Wheel can break it. Jagganoth's plan was doomed from the start even if Allison had given him the Key before the fight.

But he's also the only one who has realized there is a cycle without being explicitly told. He doesn't remember what happens specifically after the Throne is taken, but he should know that everything is all wrong for this continuity as things currently stand. What has been true for who knows how long are now changed or changing. Meaning everything after is new and the constants are no more.

He said servants of Metatron know. So the thorn knights know? Is that why they messed things up at the beginning? If White Chain is a servant of Metatron then does White Chain know?

Juggernaut Star is specifically trying to break things. And also again, don't take what he says as Gospel. It directly contradicts a lot of shit from earlier, namely how Michael wants to restore Zaid as the heir, how metatron wants things to be absolutely stagnant, and how Zoss is actively looking for a different cycle.

Ok, and I don't remember the lore like ya'll do so I may be forgetting something, but what if Zoss is also part of the cycle? Like, less willing servant and more the first link in the chain of whatever bullshit is happening?

So him choosing Allison was him breaking the cycle and setting off a chain of events that wouldn't be bound by Metatrons rules? Jaggs there is so committed to the role of being the big bad that he hasn't figured out the deal, despite being aware of the cycle and that steps were missed.

Also, and this is probably a long shot guess, the comic has thus far been pretty fluid with gender and gender norms. Specifically mentioning Zoss choosing a foolhardy boy and Allison being a girl could be a set up for possibly some kinda reverse White Chain event or something to "oh ho ho but wait!" Jaggs whole shpeel? Or like, does a former angel, a college sorority sister and demon combined into a huge rainbow entity even have a gender?

honestly the entire plot is predicated on "everyone thought Zaid was the True Heir" so whenever someone explains something it should be clear at this point that they only have part of a picture

Zoss comes to Allison multiple times, when she mentions she's gonna attack and dethrone the gods he says "I thought this cycle would be different" or something to that effect. And like others has said, Zoss in the last chapter "The one who masters the wheel cannot break it"

I think Zoss is trying to break fate and he can't do that since he's a master of it.
