Well, it does go on to say "Is trying to burn the playhouse down". So I interpreted it as the traditional meaning.
I thought "playhouse" referred to a place where plays were performed. Since cribs weren't involved, I was just thinking of things in a town.

I googled and apparently there are cribs out there with doors. But they're usually accessibility oriented for parents (or professional childcare settings) that can't bend down and pick a kid up out of a standard crib.
I think this is probably more than this line of this song has ever been analyzed. I feel like wherever he is, tube's off-topic sense is tingling.

Apparently they might be giants has been creating cds for the last 25 years I stopped paying attention to them. I only know 5 of their songs, and 2 of them from tiny toons...yeesh.
