The games are available for a long time but they do get removed from the service eventually, I think? Or was that only xbox gamepass? I think it was both
And yes you need to pay the subscription to play games online on the console
I don't think there's been announced anything regarding an end date for Playstation Plus Collection. Just that a specific list of PS4 games is available to PS5 owners with a PS+ subscription.
If you haven't already, sign up for ps plus abs you get free access to a healthy chunk of good games. The ps5 ps plus collection
This looks like a good bargain. Are the games available forever as long as I have the subscription?
Also am I reading this right that multiplayer is only possible with ps plus as well?
Free to play games like Apex Legends or Fortnite can actually be played online for free, but paid games need a PS+ subscription for online multiplayer.
The games are available for a long time but they do get removed from the service eventually, I think? Or was that only xbox gamepass? I think it was both
ps plus games are good as long as you're subscribed to ps plus; there are different games each month (separate from the collection for ps5 users)
ps now is their gamepass that some games are only on for a limited time
I got to wondering if there's a niche in the Forza community designs for just a single bumper sticker or decal. Like, can I get a stock design with a small surprised Pikachu and/or a sticker insulting our local Murdoch paper?
This is Vinyls. Instead of saying “here’s a whole car I designed” you just do a few layers and shapes and you’ve got a vinyl, which can be placed on the stock paint jobs.
Going under the Community Vinyls section, within the first 10 icons I was greeted with

Also you need to actively "Add to library" the PS Plus games to get them, you don't have access to past PS Plus games from before your subscription started or to any games you haven't added for whatever reason (i.e., grab the PS VR games if you think you might ever get PS VR).
I feel like people are talking about two different things
There's Playstation Plus, a service which puts up different free games each month, only available to add to your collection during that month. Then as long as you're subbed, you have access to any you've added to your collection.
Then, in addition, there's the Playstation Plus Collection, which is a group of PS4 games that run on PS5, and as long as you have a PS5 and a PS+ subscription, you have access to these. This is a promotion to drive PS5 sales and avoid the feeling that you won't have anything new to play.
The PS+ Collection is:
Batman: Arkham Knight
Battlefield 1
Bloodborne
Call of Duty Black Ops III Zombies Chronicles
Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy
Days Gone
Detroit: Become Human
Fallout 4
Final Fantasy XV
God of War
inFAMOUS: Second Son
The Last Guardian
The Last of Us Remastered
Monster Hunter: World
Mortal Kombat X
Persona 5
Ratchet & Clank
Resident Evil 7: Biohazard
Uncharted 4: A Thief's End
Until Dawn

I got my PS5 last Christmas. I had a PS4 but I really kinda slacked on it the last couple of years.
Aside from Miles Morales, I haven’t bought a PS5 game, but I’ve gone through like 80% of those free PS 4 Collection games throughout the year and have had an absolute blast. Getting all the best PS4 games tossed in is a pretty good killer app for the PS5, honestly.
Everything looks beautiful when you're young and pretty
There is also PS Now, which is a seperate service that gives you a rotating selection of downloadable and streamable PS2/3/4 games you can play on PS4/5 and PC.
The games in that are either permanent or rotate out after 3 months, and they add 4-8 new games every month.

I felt it was a bit of an attack on me as a person that Clancy killed me because I learned his dog’s name but not his son’s name. Because yes, that is 100% on brand for me.

Detroit (the game) is a land of contrasts. The Connor sequences are the most broadly appealing thing Quantic Dream has ever done and both Paragon and Renegade endings for his character are incredibly entertaining.
You either infiltrate the robot factory and have a showdown with an evil version of yourself where your partner "Doesn't know who to shoot!!!" OR become a frickin' Terminator who has a Metal Gear style fistfight with someone on the rooftop above the site of your attempted political assassination. It's nuts in a really engaging, fun way.
Meanwhile, the female character route is all of the bad Quantic Dream tropes, all in a row, with one of the all time worst twists in any of their games.
My Centrist recommendation is to watch the Best Friends Play LP of the game, as it's relentlessly entertaining.
Recommending anyone play Beyond Two Souls is an act of unchecked aggression. The disrespect shown to Elliot Page in the wake of the game's release would be impossible to ignore from my perspective.

Oh yeah, The Twist in Detroit is impossibly, mind numbingly bad.
But it is fun to play the grey’s anatomy guy as a violent, unrepentant anarchist revolutionary who gets everyone he cares about slaughtered. And the implied message in how you get the “good” ending for him and his crew is pretty gross.
And yet, I’d gladly play 80 hours of Connor and Clancy Brown and their fucking odd couple detective schtick.

But hey, Until Dawn is an amazingly fun, goofy, b-movie horror romp through the Quantic Dream playbook (without being a Quantic Dream game, to be clear) that is a blast to play with a friend or two riding shotgun.

- 70 new titles added to backward compatibility.
- This is it for backward compatibility. "This latest and final addition of 70+ titles to the backwards compatibility program was only possible through the passion and feedback from the community. Your constant requests for specific titles and enhancements encouraged the Backwards Compatibility team to partner with the original creators to preserve thousands of games from over four generations of Xbox. While we continue to stay focused on preserving and enhancing the art form of games, we have reached the limit of our ability to bring new games to the catalog from the past due to licensing, legal and technical constraints. Thank you for being part of this journey with us."
- A bunch of newly added and/or previously backward compatible stuff is getting boosted. Auto HDR for some, FPS boost for some, resolution increases for Original Xbox games.
- Halo Infinite Multiplayer available right now. Like, now. Multiplayer is free (with paid stuff like Battle Passes) and the campaign will be paid (and included with Game Pass).
God I wish more major developers (cough cough Battlefield 2042 cough) would do what 343 did with Infinite. Just say, yeah we're taking a year here to fix this and then release multiple technical betas and get shit polished and in peak performance before dropping the game.
By all accounts the betas have been extremely well received and I hope the game sells like gangbusters and starts an industry trend of actual, meaningful delays when needed. Dice delayed 2042 a month when it needed a fucking whole ass year, easy.
Forge being a later thing is fine, although no campaign co-op at launch raises some flags about it still coming in hot. I hope it's a smooth launch and they jettisoned what they needed to to achieve that, but we'll see.
I've been using my PS5 to play Psychonauts 2, Lost in Random, and the Outer Wilds DLC. This has been great, but I felt the need to play something that really showed off what it can do. Well my friends, I gotta say, Ratchet and Clank is that game. Boy oh boy does that game have impressive graphics. Woweee.

There's a collection of 20 games that are always available, but the month to month stuff has to be claimed at the time.

There's like five games there I don't like and everything else is a banger
I am a terrible person who enjoys the hell out of David Cage’s dipshit head-up-his-own-ass games.
And Heavy Rain is fun to get tipsy and lampoon with folks.
Detroit is just dismal though.
But it isn't really worth going through the rest of the game for just that
