Building a railjack is nice. Building a helminth is life.
Because if you like Mirage, try making a maximum strength/minimum range build and replacing her slight of hand with Nullstar (so that you can have up to 90% damage reduction).
is there a particularly neat frame that's come out in the past year that has a heinous farm where it'd be worth buying with plat?
Not really. Protea is the closest thing, but protea is nowhere near Equinox/Hildryn/Harrow in terms of difficulty acquiring her.

P.S: Replacing sleight of hand with Chroma's Elemental ward is also fun. Either heat (more health) or Electricity (more shield) would be reduce Mirages Sudden Death Syndrome.

looks like the helminth takes a lot of rep..
is the gist of entrati rep just... getting as many family tokens as you can and giving them to grandma?

    My recommendation is:
    a. Keep a healthy supply of Son Tokens in reserve. They're hard to get.
    b. Convert as many tokens as possible to Grandma tokens. Those have a better trade value. Also some stuff on Deimos will require Seriglass, and those require a lot of grandma tokens.
    c. If you're converting tokens directly into rep, use mainly Mother tokens. That's the easiest token resource to get. Father tokens are the second easiest resource to get while Daughter and Otak tokens are somewhat more tedious to acquire. Son tokens are both some of the most useful tokens and some of the worst to get.
    d. Never turn rare materials like Scintillant (definitely not scintillant), Necrathene, Heciphron or Thaumica into tokens. You'll regret it.

Yeah that's my largest annoyance with helminth. I've sold so many frames after I got the prime versions.

I've pretty much got all the weapons I'll ever need to do most content now. Basically just gotta finish leveling my nukor. That thing is insane putting 5 statuses on groups of enemies. Like one swing from a sword obliterates everything.

Been playing lavos a bit, and I kinda feel like I could just build him like inaros, because you don't really need any mods to make his abilities work.

Speaking of Lavos. Note that he's ideal with the Kuva Kohm (or other ammo hungry weapons with big ammunition pools).
His transmutation orb converts all ammo into universal ammo. Which means that not only can you use all ammo packs, but each ammo pack will give you 96 ammo (instead of the 10 rounds of ammo you normally get from shotgun packs) because it gives you a 10% refill instead of a set number.

Neat, back when I was leveling mine I just gave up entirely on trying to refill the ammo.

In general I've never had a problem with ammo once I have either vigilante supplies or a specific ammo mod in it. Even the kohm or phantasm. I only ever have problems with my Rubicon. But that's more because it's mostly in assassination/eidolon missions and there aren't a lot of trash mobs to kill for more ammo. Some sorties are real annoying with how much you need to shoot something vs how much ammo is available. Like a week or so ago the lephantis I think was insane in the sortie. It took forever for our group to kill it because the damage reduction made it miserable.

    my sweet child

a one shot nade launcher with stupid mechanics, a reset and a manual det maybe i can smuggle it in

My friend, have you heard the word of Kuva Tonkor?

ok and then i just need a break action shotgun pistol, bronco is the closest i got

that means i will have a tonker, a bonker and a broncor

Not quite break action, but you'll likely love either the Pyrana Prime or Euphona Prime, the first being a full auto chain gun shotgun which creates a duplicate stand of itself after three kills, or the second which is a precision combo slug and buckshot pistol with Terminator lever flip reloads.

The Pyrana had a slight nerf, for reasons ....

Well. Week three and it's the end of the "enjoyable nightwave challenges". There will probably be a number of missions this week that I won't finish.

I really hate the Kill Profit-Taker challenge. It's not fun to solo and pugging it is a total crapshoot.

I wish they'd just replace it outright with killing Spider-Mom instead.

I feel like both of the orb bosses are such a crapshoot. I haven't tried exploiter recently though I do still need hildryn stuff. Profit taker is just weird because you need an arch gun when you never need one any other time in the game and it's actually kinda hard to get mods for it and get it leveled for forma to actually have effective guns.

Also Ive been trying to do void railjack relics for sevagoth parts when there's a mission up and it loads me on someone else's ship (cuz mine sucks). I got a piece tonight and when I looked at what else I needed I apparently got the others at some point. Even had the argon to cook that piece. So I'll have sevagoth built just in time for the weekend so I can level him and feed him to the overmind.

    I do exploiter with Titania

It can get a bit tricky because I have to stay very on top of adds but it's doable.

The loading screen train you face when leaving railjack is easily it's biggest weakness. If you can just launch another mission right away it saves so much time. Also at first it's easier to join other crews at high level missions so you get the drops of ship parts to upgrade your own.

I put together a Wukong and being able to pop out an AI buddy on command is pretty neat. I thought it'd be on a drain-timer however. Having the copy out all the time without a constant energy drain or on a limited duration seems almost busted.

Comparatively? Nah. I got multiple frames that basically destroy whatever they look at, and at least one gun that shoots other, smaller guns. Twokong over there is just "some company".

The twin is fun but has a number of limitations, such as not benefiting from galvanized mods or weapon arcanes. Not a real game breaker but a nice addition to speed up the inevitable of Wukong killing enemies because they can't take him out of the fight between his passive, stats, 2, and 3.

I just spent some time refining my exploiter orb setup.

If you have arcane grace Chroma feels like the optimal frame, vex armor really helps out. Otherwise, I would stick with Rhino for iron skin / roar. If soloing and you have it unlocked, Zenith is a big time saver when popping the pylons since it shoots right through the terrain and shields. Mod your archgun for radiation to quickly take out the legs. If soloing remember you can advance the shield with void damage. I put dispenser on my chroma, but I think energy restore consumables is probably the way to go. If the adds get out of hand just hop into your necramech (if you have one) and use Arquebex to clear the area. If rolling with Chroma swap a base damage mod on each of your weapons for the anti corpus mods. Prime surefooted is a nice to have, but you don't need it especially if running Rhino.

For my setup I run Zenith with corrosive and cold. Kuva Nukor with magnetic element, modded with viral and heat. Heavy attack Redeemer prime modded with blast and toxin. This leaves electric and gas uncovered (which I could put on my heavy weapon or necramech weapons, but I left those modded for radiation and just skip them with void damage).

My next pass I'm going to try some weapon swap speed mods. I have also been considering Panzer Vulpa over Smeeta. While the smeeta buff is excellent it is a bummer how fast the cat goes down while soloing.

It doesn't help that you start on earth against grineer with a billion armor. You can do the steel path invasions against other factions for planets you don't have access to get and it unlocks those nodes. You'll be able to fight other factions just about as easily. Other people tend to do the invasions as well so you'll be with other people.

DE rescaled enemy armor to plateau out past a certain point because EHP really got ridiculous on enemy units past a certain point, which had a knock-on effect of pushing people towards certain mechanics (eg. slash) more than the game already was. So that refactor kind of addressed parts of it.

Then they had to design Steel Path and said: 'eh fuck it', and just more than doubled enemy armor values and HP. Which was fine when Steel Path was a 'just for bragging rights' mode without any hard progression attached to it - which I think was their stated original intent - but now, well. It's not that anymore. And the exact problems that existed before the refactor now exist in Steel Path.

It's so dumb that, iirc, there are certain enemies where you can apply a full corrosive stack to them and they'll still have like 90%+ damage reduction. Status 3.0 when?

the boss fell through off the map multiple times, the grab move sometimes ignores finisher damage immunity while other times you can just immune the entirety of its damage. the final phase it can randomly reset itself to full hp within 3 seconds of taking lethal damage before you have even touched the button for no discernible reason. in the charging amps phase it will sit too far away to hit with your void beam at random and you are literally just sitting there yelling THIS IS GAMEPLAY while it fires a beam into a fucking pillar 3 times before it finally decides to fly close, then gets stuck INSIDE THE GEOMETRY, can no longer move, shoots its beam from the inside and can no longer hit you (as happened once)
