I don't know the scope of G4 as to whether they'd collaborate, but it just occurred to me that now Abby works for the same company as Fiona Nova (semi-formally of Achievement Hunter) and that's some crossing the streams of internet people I like that I didn't see coming.

I dunno how I feel about G4 coming back
like, it's cool to have a videogame channel but
I don't think they're gonna have weird stuff like that one show that took place in several different actual real MMOs

I read so many people playing games, I feel like it lent the player a narrative freedom that video LPs lack
I read most of DarkID's LPs back in the day. Probably don't hold up, but the flexibility of sprinkling in your own text between screenshots and silly photoshops was a hoot.
I might watch Austin Creed's show but yeah, G4 just sounds so bizarre and terrible

The thing about going back to read or watch old LPs is that you are just gonna have to brace yourself for the fact that 10 years ago a whole lot of folks said some shit regularly that would not fly today.
I don't hold it against them (mostly, some were obviously beyond the pail even then) cause like, EVERYBODY was doing that shit. But it is what it is.
Imageshack implemented a premium subscription requirement at some point in the last 14 years, so all... 1848 pictures from my LP can no longer be linked to. Looking now it's just my horrible, horrible writing that's left.
I enjoyed doing my Sims 4 LPs but god it was so much work.
I still kind of idly consider doing a video LP of something, but I don't really have anyone to do a LP with, and I'm not good enough at any particular game to just have my sick game skills be the primary attraction.
Sessler seems to like to work himself into these weird fits of white-man impotent rage which, I admit, is only annoying. But yes, once he let slip a good bit a transphobia, never apologized, and deleted the tweets he made.
I don't think he's an evil man, but I could do without him being a part of G4TV. Him just making an apology would've gone a long way.

That's a big thing with personality-driven content: It's hard to associate the product without the personality, such that it almost is easier to just make something new with new personality... but then you lose the name recognition.
Like personally I'd like to see a return of Tech TV and Leo Laporte, but that's just me -- and I haven't listened to his stuff in the last 10 years to know if he's milkshake duck'd himself.
Did a quick search and Leo has apparently pissed off enough people there are multiple domains (not just pages, full DOMAINS) of people accusing him of sexist behavior and harrassment; though corroberating this stuff is a little more difficult.
I haven't gone through to reread it, but fair warning, an LP from '07 probably has some problematic parts (as evidenced by the use of the R word in the OP), but I don't recall anything egregious (though at the time, I probably wouldn't have thought it was that bad, so that doesn't mean much).
