    In regards to Icelands entry:

This had me giggling for a minute straight.

Icelands band was great on its own though.

Pleased to see my euro sensibilities being backed up by the support France got

I would've been happier with her winning, but Italy's fine too

crushed with how low my finnie boys ranked, the juries fucking robbed them

I know right, their attitude from the jury lead was a big turn off.

Germany deserved it tbh for fitting an unfunny joke about gender-diverse people in there, the only part of your song which is in German

The song is about the singer's experiences as a gay man but then he goes in German "ladies and gentlemen and people who can't make their mind up"

    And you ask yourself

Why is he singing exactly that part in German

I mean I understand the juries voted for it

I’m just surprised so many of the people did as well

First time watcher from the US, it was fun! I felt bad for the people who barely got on the scoreboard. Also, Denmark was pretty good, surprised they got knocked out when they did. I thought it was kind of funny that the Greek contestant had a song about dancing, and just could not dance. Maybe it was the heels? Malta's voice was amazing, but I didn't like the song.

Italy winning is fine by me, their stage performance was really good and it's neat to see a rock group win such a pop-heavy contest. I was surprised Switzerland and France did so well. I liked the French song, but I wouldn't have thought it would get so many votes. I agree with most people here about Switzerland's entrant, but I had to laugh at how salty the family members I was watching the broadcast with got over all the votes he was receiving. I feel like Sweden and Netherlands got robbed and should've placed a lot higher.

For what it's worth, here was my top 10:
    1. Sweden
    2. Netherlands
    3. Iceland - had some Talking Heads energy to it.
    4. Cyprus - agree with the commenter who said it reminded them of Lady Gaga
    5. Finland
    6. Italy
    7. Greece
    8. Lithuania
    9. Israel
    10. Moldova

A version of that part is in the official Eurovision lyrics but I guess they changed it for the live performance

In the original Eurovision version he switches from English to German to make it clear that he's no longer addressing the antagonistic party in the song, but in the live version it's a bungled mess
