    I was writing an effortpost about Midsommar, I will TLDR it

    Opening scene 10/10
    Rest of movie 5/10 with some good injury makeup
    Features a bear
    Maybe not so good about mental health

    Overall, grizzly out of polar

    Also the version of the Reapers EM is writing is very cool and when we get a time machine working we can send him back in time to redo ME2/3 because I would absolutely play that for the themes.

    The Haunting of Bly Manor is probably the most disappointing horror thing Ive watched lately, just absolutely terrible

    Something changed in my brain last year and my fear of bumps in the night went away completely so Ive been watching spooky things when Tumsboo is away

    Maybe I realized the real horror was big sugar all along

    My wife and I absolutely love horror. Our combined favorite medium. Hers is phychological horror, mine is more slasher in the woods.

    My least favorite is home invasion/killer gets away and her least favorite is usually creature feature, with the exception of masterpiece works like The Thing

    It's my wife's top five level favorite movie.

    It is not mine.

    Hereditary was better imo. (go in to that movie without knowing anything)

    But Midsommar is still good. That early scene with the main characters family is, uh, it's something.
