Yeah right now all NGS is is a few story missions separated by fairly significant gear score or whatever requirements
So lots of grinding
The dailies give a decent chunk of xp for relatively little effort, at least (once you unlock them... I'm annoyed at where they're at, but it's not too hard to reach that point)
I guess I have some random characters that already exist. I assume from when I checked out normal PSO2.
I could use one of those, but I don't think I can change the ship they are on and honestly I just want to make a new character for this.
However, if I want to make a new character I have to pay $5 for enough currency to buy a new character slot. On a ship I do not currently have any characters. What the fuck.

I didn't know this. That seems to have worked. I had basically no progress or items or anything on any of my characters so I just deleted one of the dudes I had on ship 2 and now I can make a new guy.
The characters in PSO 2 at the beginning were so bad and cringey but the story managed to make turn it around and made them good and lovable as the story progresses such that I did the bare minimum to go through the plot to until I reached a wall a year ago
Is the story done already? I think I stopped at the end of Chapter 4 or something
Yeah the old PSO2 story is over with Episode 6, had a big bombastic ending to the whole thing, was a cool big last boss fight. You can go back and see it all still. The new PSO2 thing is starting over from scratch, clean break from the old setting and characters and plot.
