actual justice is denied us by forces we can't yet effectively fight, so we get some small amount of satisfaction from ghouls dying whenever and however they go. it isn't justice by a damn sight but whatever keeps you sane
we dropped something like 850 thousand tons of bombs on north vietnam alone over the course of the war, knowing all the while that we weren't accomplishing anything but murdering civilians for its own sake. also that sure is a lot of bombs in cambodia and laos and thailand, i wonder who made that call

yup! they started doing that shit in '65 and didn't stop till the end of the war, though it was nixon that went all in on using B52s to basically level big swathes of cambodia and laos
everyone in power at the time loved bombing the shit out of people in southeast asia and they would've kept going if they could
How many of those bombs are yet unexploded but still actively armed and ready to take out an unlucky civilian I wonder

There’s still regular news stories from Germany and England about work crews discovering unexploded ordnance. I’m sure this is also very true in Southeast Asia, it just doesn’t get reported on.
Sadly, today in Cambodia, the demining/unexploded ordnance removal team we documented in the film @ UntilTheyreGone lost 3 deminers when a mine exploded.
I wish more people knew this history, and how heroic the people cleaning up the aftermath of war, one mine at a time, are.
The lingering and indiscriminate danger to civilians is a major driving factor behind the international push to ban the use of anti-personell landmines, which culminated in the Ottowa Treaty, signed by 164 nations who have prohibited their use in warfare, ceased to manufacture anti-personnel landmines, and have destroyed their stockpiles.
Of course, the United States is not a signatory to the treaty!

Holy fuck. I'm used to pet rats that live two years, three if you're lucky. Eight is wow.

Guessing the dipshit felt safe causing that because of the toxic bullshit conservatives tell each other about libs/Prius drivers

As always, there is some consideration and soul-searching one must undergo before celebrating the death of a human being.
On the other hand, imagining the look on the face of a BMW-ass BMW driver in mid-rampage getting drawn down on by a Prius driver is very funny and satisfying in a Cohen brothers kind of way.

Luckily (so far) the media seems to have forgotten how upset the blob was about Afghanistan.
Enough that this was fairly high in the replies.

Good pooch.
I found this on some dumbass sports blog today it’s a pretty good way to spend 45 minutes (depending on your paywall experience)

It might be hard to trust Defector though, literally every single writer at the site is a small business owner
You, uh, might want to qualify that your last sentence is sarcasm, if only because people might be unaware of the founding history of Defector.

Yeah. It's crazy how much better this country could be if the money sliders weren't all controlled by childish, easily bored psychopaths.
Unfortunately, in this particular game of Sim City, we're not the player. We're just the transit advisor.
This one feels like some sort of Yahtzee.

Totally agree, and likewise I think Zardoz will turn out to be the most prophetic film about the future of the U.S. of A.
