"It doesn't matter. None of this matters." has become a mantra.

    I think that's Bojack Horseman

They might have said it there too, but this is 100% a Carl line. His delivery of it is seared into my brain.

I'm pretty sure it came from Big Mouth.

God I was just remembering the good times in college watching all these shows during their first runs, but then a really bad ambient memory leaked in-

once the comedy block ended, I’d get in bed with the anime block playing on mute, just in the background, to try to soothe me to sleep…as I lay awake for hours due to the massive anxiety of not being prepared for my classes the next morning

  • Options

Wait. No that’s not the right memory

That occurred after college and it was both anxiety about going to work AND loneliness since I was watching alone when I used to watch with all my best buds in the house the school gave us to live in

It’s a shame Adult Swim ended in 2004

Space Ghost, Brak, Sealab, ATHF, and Cowboy Bebop were all they ever showed

the worst part of Squidbillies is the guy who voiced Early, Stuart D. Baker, is a real shitbird and a half

but it's cool, for the last season Tracy Morgan voiced Early.

Unknown Hinson is a bit of a frog and a scorpion type situation for me, because Cartoon network knew the kind of guy they had hired for the voice. It isn't a case like the VO actor who did Jimmy Pesto who turned out to be an insurrectionist, this was some super weird guy from North Carolina who would voice his opinion to anyone who listened.

Like they knew this guy was practically a few steps removed from being a racist drive-time radio DJ. He even had a tantrum in 2008 and said he was breaking up his band because he couldn't afford to tour under Obama.

He is also a talented guitar player, and was very nice to me everytime I met him. The first show I went to, I got a little bit too dehydrated, and after the show he made his road manager grab me some gatoraid from backstage.

"You gotta stay hydrated hoss!" he said, as he clapped me on the shoulder.

So that's my story about Stuart Baker.

That was also the same night I met Dana Snyder and he talked to me and my group of friends for like three hours. He even told me about a then unaired VB episode where he pairs up with Hank to solve a noir plot.

In short, Dana Snyder is a pretty good guy and i hope good things for him in the future.
