So, has anyone messed around with the new slot machines in Veilstone much? Because I'm making some mad coin with this clefairy bonus round, I'm on 'round 6' and the clefairy in the machine is a shiny clefairy, which is really odd to me. Anyone know anything about this? Every guide I've found on the intertrons gloss over the game corner, like, 'yah yah, one in every game, I more than likely didn't even bother figuring out what the machines do this time'.
Edit: and it keeps going. There's supposed to be a fabulous prize if you get 10 consecutive bonus rounds, and I'm on 7. Let's hope shiny Clefairy with her cute little cheerleading 'Stop this slot! Then this one! Now this one! There you go! 15 coins!' antics takes me to the top.
I hope in the next game they give these trainers some serious AI, where you actually need to build a team with something other than just sweepers in order to win

Battle Tower from the 22nd match on has fairly nasty AI, not to mention nasty Pokemon. I've been Ludicolo'd, Dusknoir'd, and Wobbuffet'd.

I did my first 20+ win Battle Tower last night... the AI there is considerably better than the rest of the game.
Just three more levels til my damn Leafeon learns Leaf Blade. Then I only gotta level up Miltank 29 more times for Heal Bell.
And then it's back to the Wifi battles.
Ever find a choice spot to level up?
Not really, since the highest level Trainers are only in the 50-55 range. And they use crap like Zigzagoon and Farfetch'd. Although, I did find three Swimmers on the water route near Stark Mt (dunno the number), and they were a source of easy Exp. One has a Seel and Dewgong, one has a UBERdisc and Lapras (which gets to be level 60 after a while, and gives close to 3000 Exp), and one that uses a Crawdaunt. Easy pickings for a Leafeon, even with Razor Leaf instead of Leaf Blade.
You can also fight your Rival on the weekends near the Battle Tower after the Heatran quest. His Pokemon were in the 56-63 area I beleive.
I just changed every thing about the DS's clock, from the minute to the year, and it didn't change which swarm I had. So evidently there's something more to it than time. I guess maybe they use the same trick with it as they do the Pal Park.
Well, since it turns out I can't get one today myself, anyone got a Lickitung?

Sometimes it seems like it will never end. I got 16 rounds once, but it's too bad I don't know if I want to spend my coins on anything.
