Youtube thread for videos that may or may not actually be from Youtube
lets game it out thumbnails have simultaneously no indication that they're lets game it out videos but just such a specific energy that it's so easy to pick them out.

The animals press the buttons because when they do they get treats. They push the buttons hundreds of times a day and then 10 seconds of that is put on YouTube because the buttons they pushed seemed to mean something.
It's not real. It's paradolia.
Great apes have been taught to communicate using sign language, but even they don't understand how to use sentence structure like those button pets supposedly do.
They're just pushing random buttons and sometimes they say something that sounds like something they might say if they could talk. They're monkeys sitting at type writers and you're only being shown the times they write a word from hamlet. But worse that they, the buttons are artificially selected to say words that the animals might say. I will bet you one hundred dollars that if they were more generic words, the dog would ask for a washing machine just as often as it asked to go for a walk.
Your brain is specifically wired to want to make sense out of randomness, especially in social situations.
Seems to be, yeah. I think it's a waste of money and perfectly good chains just for a stunt.
Disappointed they didn't 'speak in tongues' while they were doing it for more entertainment value. JEBUS POWAH!
but I'm pretty sure what they're doing there is supposed to be a physical metaphor for the figurative way that Jesus breaks the chains of sin that weigh on your soul

The other thing about the pet communication boards is that I don’t find my pets have a huge issue communicating their needs? My cat Mo wants to be held and pet at every available opportunity, as evidenced by him hitting me in the arm until I pick him up, or helping himself up onto me, or getting where he shouldn’t be so I pick him up and he can get into his favorite spot (hanging over my shoulder) by force. If he wants food he cries at me and runs to his dish. If his water bowl is getting low he drags it across the floor. When my sister brought her new kitten to visit, and Mo wanted to indicate his displeasure at this development, he peed on me. I’ve found most cats find ways to be very direct.
Animal communication is always a thin line between anthropomorphising their actions and dismissing them because They're Not People How Could They. We are biased as fuck.
Oh god.... I thought I had aged a whole decade, since I swore APB had flopped only a few years ago, not in FREAKING 2010. My original assumption was correct, as I was thinking of the reboot that flopped.
Man APB Reloaded was something special. The loop of being dynamically matched with an opposing team and racing through the streets to each objective worked perfectly, and the customization is still unmatched to this day. It might be the dead game that stings me the most, knowing I'll never experience something like it again.

I do not need the added stresses of my pets having or being able to communicate complex thoughts, feelings and opinions.
I do not want my pet to see me naked and then run over to its soundboard and furiously slam the "hate" and "kill me" button over and over again.

only in America I suppose
But it would be more accurate to say that you don't understand what they're trying to communicate to you, using the tools you told them to use
Never been to a Walmart?
Or more accurately, you have never seen that body type outside of their mobility scooter.
Well, at least they weren't handling snakes.
