Oh this is absolutely, 100% not for me but everybody else here is having a blast and I love that for them, legitimately. The amount of time and effort people have put into their gear and costumes is extremely impressive and it is an absolute delight to see them get to twirl about in it and drink and sing songs.
A lot of my frustration came from not really having a lot of information about what I was supposed to be doing, learning the fake money on the fly, not actually getting paid for it, my boots being two sizes too big and extremely uncomfortable, having froze to death in a tent over night, having no clue what was going on at any given time, people asking me questions about those things I didn't know and then being difficult about it. So yeah, I probably came across as saltier and more condescending than I should've. Now that I more or less know the deal I could rock this shit, easy peasy, if I do it again.
Also, the brewery I was tabled with left all their beer with me so that's probably contributing to my lightened spirits.
The other day in the hospital I had an 11 year old patient wearing a LotR shirt and I could overhear him telling his mom all about Drizzit. I told my friend "hah check out this nerd talking about Drizzit." My friend said he didn't know what that was so I had to tell him all about Drizzit.

It used to really gall the popular jocks at school that I was this massive nerd who hung out with nerd cliques and talked about fantasy and sci-fi and play Dungeons & Dragons and the on the weekend I'd turn up for sport and play in the 1st team because the coach absolutely did not give a fuck about who I hung out with or what I did in my free time, he cared that I could play in a team and make 2-3 game changing plays a season.

First morning after moderna booster, I'm gonna assume I'm running a fever because despite maxing the heat, being under all of the blankets, and now in a scalding bath, I cannot get warm.
Work gives me a day off to get vacinated/booster, so now I'm trying to decide if I should schedule that for the day I get my J&J booster or the day after.
Anyone have any experience with when the side effects were the worst?

I had to come in to work at 2pm because a guy got his dose and felt shitty.
We told him it was going to make him feel like shit, schedule it for your long weekend so you can recover. But he did not because he is, historically, an absolute weapons grade turnip, and so, here I am.
I honestly do not give a rip roaring fuck about other people's time, I care about mine. I took my licks when I got it on my days off so nobody had to lose their day off to cover for me. I planned ahead and was considerate. Plus I was probably going to spend the day being a lazy piece of shit anyway, so this way I got to offset the guilt with the warm fuzzies of being a responsible citizen.
On top of that, this chucklehead only got it in the first place because he was going to have to pay the $100 monthly premium our insurance started charging unvaccinated people. He's a stone cold, dyed in the wool, capital C conservative who spends most of his day complaining about SJW's and the Radical Biden Agenda but apparently, his true blued, Toby Kieth-ass-big-dog-will-bite, flag saluting, all American ideals stop juuuust shy of paying a hundo extra a month.
I hope all the vaccine symptoms are located entirely within his dick and balls.
Visited Philly with a few folks this weekend, had a great time; the customs PCR test requirements were a little scary but it all worked out and the border wasn't too held up either way about it

Effectively, my settlement is finally resolved after over a year of getting the legal stuff done, we've applied for a mortgage pre-approval on what I made so hopefully I'll be able to ensure my parents have a reliable place to live going forward, I'm proceeding with going on stress leave from my job (and dropped out of an interview process for another one that I was being pressured to take (especially after the hiring manager refused to take my resignation from the process until my third attempt...)), and it feels weird to have no current mid- to long-term goals aside from "feel better" and "keep an eye out for a good job at some point in the next two years of leave", but

I got the House of the Rising Spade deck on a re-release, I found a Fontaine deck (the Carrot Fontaines) on a Swedish online store, I found most of the Planets run locally but Mercury I had to get through an Italian online store, I basically have two left.
One's the 2019 Squeezers V2 from Riffle Shuffle. Sold out everywhere, only 5000 decks printed and no reprints, on Ebay they go for like 75-80 USD. I finally found one in an Italian online store, with a quantity of "Less than three left", which is both very specific and incredibly vague, but they only ship to two countries. Italy and the US. Only two countries in the dropdown list. So now I have an email out, apologizing for writing in English and also, could they perhaps ship to Denmark? And if not, I'll have to look into, like, package forwarders located in Italy, unless the cost ends up where I might as well just get it from Ebay.
