No one has ever beat comix zone

    I have beaten comix zone.

    Once.

I remember when it showed up on The Sega Channel one month and I played it every day to try and beat up.

Got to the final boss at the end of the month and i died. I never got back to it because it left Sega Channel the next day.

So Bayonetta 2 is never going to go on sale, right? It looks like it's been the same price for the past 4 years...

    :|

Yeah, the announcement of a date got me interested in playing the series again, but my WiiU isn't readily accessable. So I thought I'd look for the Bayo 1/2 double pack that got a physical release on Switch. Holy cow that game is expensive. Must have been a limited run.

Maybe they'll have an eShop sale in the fall?

say what you want about the functionality, but i think it's hilarious they decided to name that function "naive angel mode". it's like - you don't want nudity? ok sure but we'll take the piss out of you in the menu toggle.

This is 100% on-brand for Platinum's general attitude, but I could also see a read where the "naive angel" isn't the player but their kid, roommate, or whosoever else might walk in on the game at an inopportune time and doesn't want to be / shouldn't be exposed to that sort of thing.

I mean, it still doesn't help the whole "peeling the armored carapace off of your enemies and ripping into the blood-spewing flesh beneath" issue, but...

I think there are contexts where you are more likely to see a naked person in Europe, but (as far as I know) Germany is the only European country that censors violent media. And I think they might have stopped.

Sega Channel was the coolest fucking thing ever to me as a kid, I was blown away when I saw it at a friend's house but my parents wouldn't get it and I never really got to play with it more than once.

The final boss is comparatively easy compared to the slog it takes to get to him. I got to him twice, beat him once. Never went back for the 'true' ending that requires beating him within a certain amount of time.

Did you know the upgrades to cable networks that sega made for sega channel are largely responsible for the ability of cable companies to start offering high speed internet?

Sweden does too, at least when I lived there. Buff the Vampire SLayer was called "Buffy och den Vampiren" instead and they deleted all the violent scenes and just froze the image before hand while still letting the audio play

Finished the Kirby Forgotten Land main story, that ending ruled!
The fuckin' shounen-ass final clash between an intergalactic horror and Big Rig Kirby was a joy, my goodness.

I'm glad I did it now rather than just before Xenoblade, as I didn't expect the post game.

Arceus was a good time, although my main hope for ScarVi is for more interesting stuff in the world itself. Chilling out/not getting murdered in Pokemon-filled wilderness is fun, but I would like interesting stuff to discover and explore.

Overall I would say Black Eagles are still my favorite route, followed by Golden Deer. Blue Lions at the bottom. I don't dislike them but I'm not sure their route adds much that I find very interesting

blue lions tells kind of the most traditional fire emblem story

golden deer is the most about the world of three houses

black eagles is the most engaged with the dynamics around the player character

Don't start with ninja cause it's the fiddliest chapter
Caveman is the most normal and a good intro to the battle mechanics
