Fischl and Venti are each using an R1 Stringless. I should probably combine those and give one of them the new free bow.
* weapon really, but let’s start somewhere.
The new bow isn't really great for either of them, I don't think? Stringless is great for either character, but if you have to use both of them in the same team, you could build a Compound Bow for Fischl.
The new bow is decent on Fischl since the main thing most people use her for is throwing down Oz and switching to a different character. She doesn't really need Energy Recharge since she's a battery herself but it doesn't hurt, considering the extra damage if you keep Oz around between her skill and burst. Not to mention it's got high base attack on it. An R5 Stringless out-damages it pretty handily, I'm sure, but if all that's available is an R1/R2 Stringless, it's competitive.
Ah, thought I thought I saw something about it being good for off-field.
Looks like Sara is a decent match for FT.
Maybe I’ll give Venti the Stringless and give Fischl this Rust that’s sitting in my inventory.
If you want to build a DPS Fischl, Rust is the way to go. The higher refines the better obviously.
Obviously, but I’ve got a C6 Rosaria and a Yunjin to build. And this sounds fun. Who’s a good fourth?
Maybe I’ll pull the trigger on Bennet’s C6.
Bennett or Tenacity Kokomi should both work there. If you have no Kokomi, I could see using Jean to zone guys into Rosaria's burst and off Fischl working too.

A few thoughts here.
Diona: shields, healing, and the crit bonus from synergy.
Zhongli: shields always rock
Bennett: literally always a good choice, and even if you got him at C6, it won't interfere with a bow user.
Beidou: more lightning hits! A team built for a Fischl main will struggle with groups, but Beidou will give you those solid AOE hits. And having Fischl will solve a lot of Beidou's energy problems too.

ok a normal anemo trav n4 but we need more because the icd management in this shit is goofy
Damn the drumming is as difficult and frustrating as the previous music event. At least I managed to get the easy and normal rewards for day one. I don’t care if I’m a pro at it.

As someone very rhythmically competent, I can confidently say: MiHoYo makes the most absurdly shit rhythm games. They enjoy putting a lot of "challenge" in the form of "can I visually decipher the input it wants? probably not."
I presume it's partly that these are designed for Touch-Interfaces on phones, whereas I play on console via controller, but it's still wild how awful they are.
Also: thanks to 5 Noelles in 60 pulls on this banner, I know have C6 Kaeya.
The keybindings they offer are trash tier for how they're arranged. I usually haven't had too much trouble with the rhythm games in Genshin but I really do not like this one.
I want to explore a world and collect waifus. If I wanted a music game I’d play a music game. That’s what I said on the survey for the last music event. My complaints fell of deaf ears. Probably because their ears were bleeding from my shit musical performance.
I don’t have a problem with the timing. I think my problem is that there aren’t enough helpful clues in the visuals. Music games usually have different color tracks and buttons on screen. This has different color buttons for hold versus press but very little to tell the tracks apart when they’re coming along so quickly.
I think it'd be easier if the notes would just drop straight down. This crescent shape means it's incredibly hard to differentiate between notes. If the pattern is simple enough, you can get a feel for which is which. But if they start throwing notes en mass at speed, and rapidly switch between the inner and middle lanes, yeah you just can't fucking tell which is which. It definitely strikes me as something that's probably a lot easier on a touch screen.
Like all events, the primogem reward tier is super simple to get, so I'm not going to get too worked up over it. I absolutely butchered today's song and still got the rank needed for all the rewards, so we'll see if that lasts.
"The sausage of Green Earth explodes with flavor like the cannon of culinary delight."
New banners revealed. Itto's rerun has Shinobu, as advertised, and then Gorou and Chongyun for some reason. Not a terrible banner. It's funny to me that Gorou is literally just tied to Itto despite them having no story relevance to one another. Chongyun just feels like he's kinda...there. But he's got some value at least.
Weapon banner is Redhorn with Memory of Dust along with Stringless, Lion's Roar, Dragon's Bane and the Lithic Blade. Also not terrible. Memory of Dust is....okay. Ningguang and Yanfei get the most usage out of it, I think, more meta is to pair it with Ningguang and Zhongli obviously, but Yanfei C4 can manage it pretty well too. Stringless is obviously one of those 'secretly kinda 5*' 4* weapons, Lithic Blade, Lion's Roar and Dragon's Bane have good case uses, so no huge duds.
Got good enough fast enough at the minigame that I've continued one-shotting the highest difficulty rewards. Think the design could be a lot better but it's fun enough.

I downloaded a new game called Ensemble Stars that's a music rythym husbando collector game, and the interface for it is identical to the Genshin minigame.
I decided to work on a new project this past week, and wasted no time in busting her out in the abyss.
Full details in spoiler:
Feeling pretty good about the results. You won't hear me saying that Xinyan isn't one of the worst characters in the game, but despite that, she's definitely still usable. And putting Qiqi of all characters on the team is just icing on the cake.
Bad characters used to good effect reminds me that I need to work on my Keqing. A lot of why I got Mistsplitter was to see if having her BiS made it feel at least decent to field her sometimes.
That my Ayaka can use it to insta-delete anything that isn't a bad matchup (her setup lacks the relentless undying kill-anything versatility of my Noelle or, to a lesser extent, Eula teams) for her is just a bonus.
Still wish Hu Tao didn't feel like such a chore to play, I like everything about her but actually playing her.
I keep looking at that team and just wondering "how". Logically, I understand - Zhongli for the resist shred, Sara and Qiqi teaming up for Superconduct to let Xinyan do massive damage, plus Xinyan's fire application coming in clutch for chamber 2 - but I would never think to pair those four up together whatsoever. Very cool. Can you share her build? I'm guessing double Bloodstained and Pale Flame with a 5* claymore, maybe Wolf's Gravestone, but I can imagine success with a Serpent Spine or Unforged, too.

You nailed it. 2pc Pale Flame/2pc Bloodstained, using Serpent Spine. I actually do have the gravestone to give her, but it's married to Beidou. The fact that the Spine wasn't currently in use was what gave me the idea to invest in her. That, and the fact that I had her at C6 and wasn't making use of it. As far as the team goes, I got the idea of doubling up on the benefits of all the physical resistance shredding, since Qiqi's Ocean-Hued Clam set benefits from that too. Sara was my electro choice mostly for maxizing the buffs for Xinyan's burst; Fischl would probably be better overall, but I didn't want to risk overloads knocking stuff out of Xinyan's spinning.
Also notable that I'm abusing the claymore charge attack bug/exploit. Normally you can only charge attack for a little while until you are forced to end it, but if you bring up your map and exit it again while doing a charge attack, you can keep spinning until you run out of stamina.
Interestingly enough, the drum game design has been the easiest for me... more then any of the other music mini games! I found myself able to do a full perfect combo on the hardest difficulty on the first or second try of every song.

At 20 pity and guarantee. I don't have Itto. I also don't have Kaz, who is supposedly on the first 2.8 banner.
Having played both in the last event, I think I'm leaning towards the Bull Chucker...am I crazy?
