Look, this is maybe going to come off harsh, but I don't understand digging around for extra reasons to be mad that they fired people, especially when the extra reason is, "her birthday was in the recent past." I'm not sure who we're trying to convince here that Vince McMahon and John Laurinitis and the WWE is fucking terrible and I'm also not sure how this would move the needle
Taya and Morrison should be fine after their release, but it still sucks. Those smaller names are going to have a harder time especially with how many names got released and are heading back to the indies.
I like him on commentary, he's laid back and sort of subtle with his humor. I find the Jericho and Starks combo to be exhausting. It's too much energy and takes away from the matches.
I think they might be building to a feud down the road.
My training from WWE teaches me that anyone who cares about the environment is most certainly a heel (although, you know, buying a new car doesn't benefit the environment, even if it's electric.
So if someone is a heel in WWE, does that make them a face in AEW?

Imagine having John Morrison on your roster and not making him Intercontinental Champion for 100 months or something but instead having him do segments where he's backstage meditating then firing him for not getting over with the boomer humor of "can you believe it, this guy's meditating." Can't wait to see Gargano get called up for his cutting edge gimmick of "guy who eats this raw fish and, get this, calls it sushi!?!?" before getting released via tweet.
The shitty thing is, in some ways this is the logical endgame of WWE's "buy up all the talent so AEW can't have them" shit they started pre-pandemic. They scooped up a bunch of talent, expanded NxT to justify it, but never really did much with the people. So eventually someone was going to start hacking away at it. The cruel, callous, and random way it seems to be done makes it even worse.
Just fuck off, WWE.

Uhhhh so New Japan is holding a press conference in two hours.
Also NOAH is holding a press conference in two hours.
The speculation right now is that there's going to be a co-promoted supershow to promote the return of normal crowds.
Both companies are also connected to Abema TV (CyberAgent and TV Asahi both own shares) so if there's a big event both are involved in that will be streamed on the service it makes sense to do a dual announcement.
Watched the Takuya Nomura vs Daisuke Sekimoto match from last month's Big Japan show and my goodness did it live up to every expectation. As someone who has been following Nomura since his young boy days it was such a joy to not only see him finally beat Sekimoto one on one, but while defending the Strong World title no less. I think a lot of folks realized that he has proved he has what it takes to be at the top of the Strong division for a long while now, but to see it solidified in such a brutal and personal fight was something else.

Well yeah, obviously Saki Akai rules. Her quetzalcoatl is great, and it's made better because she named it after a character she portrayed in a stage play based on an anime or something.
Also she loves beer and her kicks sound like a baseball bat hitting a side of beef.
Stupid question, all I see online is people saying the AEW is unsafe. I totally agree with criticisms that maybe Kenny shouldn't have been in the ring (especially with vertigo), but are they more unsafe than other companies? The only real reason I'm asking is that this is now two people I can think of that got injured and then immediately got reinjured (Butcher and Trent).

That is legitimately exactly where he is, and that is why Aerostar kicks ass.
It honestly seems like a better setup than 75% of indie shows.

His deal expires Dec 3 and he has yet to sign an extension offer. I'm thinking he's gone

"America's Moist Wanted" was one of the most bizarre things I've seen in nearly 40 years of following wrestling.

Not too surprised that Kenny can't wrestle next month. Surprised they aren't just dropping the title at this point.
You overestimate how much AAA cares about having the belt defended regularly.

When's this gonna be on Wrestle Universe tho
Yeah, in WWE Billy Gunn's size was pretty typical for the heavyweight division at the time, but in AEW he strides across the roster like a colossus.
