i don't often watch olympic wrestling but i guess i could see that
But I feel like the clips I've seen tend more towards the "guy sat on someone and punched him in the head kek owned" or "backflip headshot 1round KO OLOLOL" while boxing clips that people float across are very "Tyson or Ali in their prime doing combos wowowow" and dont involve a ton of blood or injury usually
I like the to-the-touch sports at lower levels but high level fencing is very...hard to watch, I have no clue what the degenerate meta is. Our college team practiced below one of the dance classes I took in the gym and that was cool to see.
I'm having spaghetti tonight and I picked up Ragu sauce because it was on sale at the store and I haven't had it in a long time. It is so sweet. There could be more sugar than tomato in this stuff.

i am not very smart, it took me 5 attempts to try their "cold brew coffee" before realizing that no, they cannot make good coffee.

After a week of grey skies and rain here in KC, today was the first nice sunny 65-degree day, so her timing ended up being really good. We went to Minsky's (rad local pizza joint) and got it to go and ate it in the gorgeous rose garden at Loose Park (where my folks were married, in fact). While there, we witnessed a quinceanera! A young lady was posing for a professional photographer by the fountain, wearing this vivid blue dress that was huge and billowy like something out of a Zorro movie.
Then we went and looked at art, because that's what we often do when we hang out. We swung by a place she used to work at when she lived here and we got a private tour from the curator there, her old co-worker. This dude was amazing. He's this middle-aged gay guy who looks like some redneck's stereotype of a limp-wristed academic, but who talks EXACTLY like Ted Lasso. Once I heard it, I could not un-hear it. At one point he went "me and my husband went up to Chicago for the very first time! I'd never been. Gosh, you know, I don't know why they call it the Second City, cause if you ask me, it's the FIRST city, I'd take it over New York any ol' day."
and then we were looking at this one piece of artwork that was like a hand-carved wooden lectern to hold books? And he pointed out this carved element on the base. "I was giving [member of local rich family] a tour and she said 'you know, that part looks exactly like a labia.' And I was like, gosh, really, you sure? And I went and looked it up on the internet and boy did you know it turns out there are a lot of pictures of those out there."
I dont mind their iced coffee but its so loaded with sugar you lose all the coffee taste really.
the best part was, it had a very, you know, urban artisanal guy-with-a-beard, exposed-brick-and-glass vibe, but it wasn't priced like one of those places. my two scoops in a waffle cone came up to like seven bucks where in new orleans or chicago i feel like I would have paid 15

Turns out, it was pretty good!
I tried several jarred spag sauces and I never found one I really liked. They were tomato soup, too sweet, or just tasted like a vegetable mash (which I know it technically is).
I picked up a blender and now my spaghetti sauces are perfect.
