The thing that sucks about aetherite tickets, is that there's one more thing you have to click through to teleport, and in heavy hunt trains, that can mean the difference between getting to the zone and waiting for the aetherite to clear out, and potentially missing a mark.
I wonder if putting them in a retainer or in the saddlebag gets rid of the confirmation, when you don't want to deal with it.
Can confirm that Aetheryte tickets don't get prompted if they're in your Saddlebag.

I added the pre-order key to my Mogstation account, and retrieved my new XP earring in-game, plus the Wind Up Porom minion. Is there anything else I have to do on the account side to get ready for Endwalker?
For some reason I'm remembering needing multiple code entries for expansions past, and I'm getting paranoid that I missed something since I've only entered one code.
One code for pre-order, one code for the expansion. I expect the expansion codes to go out in the next day or two based on past expansions, possibly after the servers go down for maintenance.

for me I don't bother with tickets because I'm pretty sure that the time spent farming the tickets could be spent making some gil instead & you would end up with more gil than the equivalent value of the tickets. I might be wrong but it can't be far off in any case.

I love this game, but the sequence right after the Crown of the Immaculate really highlights my primary gripe with the game. This is literally just wasting my time. Right as the story opens up and we're really hitting a crescendo...no wait, just run around and talk to these people about nothing that bears any meaning. I guess I'm supposed to feel connected to these people, but I interacted with them once or twice 20 hours ago. Now it has me going to a spot to quite literally do nothing.
I don't mind some filler, but the pacing on this and the amount of inane filler feels extremely bad. It's just placed extremely badly in my opinion.
I never got around to upgrading any of my 520 tome gear to 530 and I only realized today that I need all three coins from the Nier raids and not just ones from the third one. I have 10 from the third, 5 from the second raid, and none from the first one. My fault for not actually checking it weeks/months ago so I only have myself to blame. Sorry DRG you'll just have to be 520 instead of 525'ish for the next 4-6 levels.

I've always hated how the upgrade tiers work like that, tbh. It's annoying that it requires more work to upgrade the last set than the first.

It's to make sure the previous Nier raids remained populated even when a new one was out.
FFXIV incentivizes running old content so well that you don't even notice that's the goal they're going for when they do it.
If it only required a coin from the latest one then the earlier ones would be progressively less populated since people would only do them a few times to get past the point of needing them.
Jumped over to White Mage to muck around and level that job up a bit and I finally had a tank who sucked. We were doing Brayfox and the tank is just eating hits and never once pops any of his damage mitigation during any of the pulls. Luckily the guy wasnt going wall to wall but it was odd, I inspected the dude and he was at least in his 70s and I was like wait.. what?
Another pull and he backs up into a few more mobs and then another, meanwhile I am chain casting to keep him alive and I am thinking "Surely he is going to pop one now." Nope.
So I asked (maybe he hadnt played tank in awhile) "Hey, tank did you forget about your cooldowns or are you just saving them?" He was like "I'm too low of a level I dont have any" ..... having a marauder that I have been leveling up I know for a fact the guy had at least Rampart and Reprisal. So I said "no you have a few."
He got all indigent and was like "Can you see my screen, do you know my class?" I told him I watch the party bars and he hasnt popped any cooldowns at all. I think he got confused and I said he should have the one that looks like a castle wall. Another player piped up and was like, "oh you mean Rampart?" "Yea that was the one", I replied.
The tank was like "Oh thats a role ability I forget about that" not wanting to cause a fuss I said.. yea i've forgotten about them too at times. How you get to the level cap and forget about some of your bread and butter damage mitigation abilities...
I should have just let the guy die once or twice but I didnt want to punish the rest of the group.
The following additions and adjustments have been made to limit breaks:
Use of limit breaks will no longer cancel action combos.
It's super minor, but I like that.

How do they adjust the name of Undersized Parties in an attempt to make it more obvious what they are and somehow make it less obvious

The following adjustments have been made to teleportation:
- An option has been added to only use aetheryte tickets when the cost exceeds a specified gil allowance.
- An option to enable confirmation prompts when using aetheryte tickets has been added.
They took one of the most convenient things from XIVLauncher and added it to the game.
Yeah they don't want you to feel the pressure to sweep every single corner of old dungeons to get all the little shitheads hiding in corners in order to maximize your leveling experience.
If someone starts picking a fight or hurtling verbal abuse at you you can report them and they will probably eat a temp ban or an official warning. It does make sense to encourage your fellow players to not run lost in a dungeon, but that should be done respectfully.
Also, people already skip most skippable trash given the chance. Like in Haukke Manor everyone is using Return after the 2nd boss and in Satasha you really need to talk first before running into every room.
I have done the latter with a group of sprouts when I explained to them they'd get half a level of exp and they could see how evil the pirates actually were. But usually it's just a beeline to the next boss.
Mmm, I can see that backfiring. New player tanks getting heat from veteran players for pulling mobs because "they aren't worth anything".
FFXIV doesn't need to rely on deliberately designing game systems to weed out this behaviour because they just skip the middleman and enforce player decency directly.
I can't find a decent answer on the net - do I need to spend my Moogle tometones before maintenance? Or will the Moogle vendor still be selling, I just won't be able to earn more?

they know exactly what they're doing by un-genderlocking maid gear in the same patch they release bunny boys

it's clear that they regret the initial choices to make gender locked gear, but it seems that it's a slow process to recreate them to work on all player models so it's just something they're doing a bit at a time working into each patch
I think they've hit most of the main ones here, though.
those are probably just going to be recolours of other outfits, because a new player who buys endwalker will be able to change to reaper or sage and do shadowbringers, they need to work with the part of the storyline where you get armour from grenoldt

So no XP from anything but the bosses?

WHO ENLONGATED A CACTUAR?! WHO STRETCHED MY BOY LIKE TAFFY?!
Moon's haunted.
I've been waiting for the butler gear to be gender unlocked for ages.
What? I like women in suits!
I don't know how "Unsynced party" wasn't the most obvious option for them
Adjust your playlists accordingly.
Whelp, guess I'm going to be getting a couple of Memoria EX kills tonight to round out my coffers
Unsynced is definitely the most common use case for an undersized party, but you can have a full party that's unsynced.
I don't know if I have a better term to hand, but undersized is surely still the better of the two that they've come up with.
