The Endwalker soundtrack album comes out in less than a couple weeks, so the Square-Enix Youtube account (not the FFXIV one, which is why I didn't see it right away) uploaded a sampler of all the tracks included in the expansion.
The video clips included are spoiler if you haven't gotten there yet, but the title and thumbnail aren't and it's an official upload.
Sorry if I'm behind the times here, but have we gotten any confirmation of a digital version of the soundtrack? I have... pretty much zero use for a physical blu ray, but would definitely want the digital soundtrack for my collection!

Right now, you can just log into anybody’s Steam version of FFXIV if you have their account info and password and have launched FFXIV from a Steam account. It’s to help with account security.

Not yet. Judging from last time, when the Shadowbringers Blu-ray OST was released in September 2019 and the Shadowbringers digital album was released in August 2021, it might take a while. The Blu-rays do at least come with a full set of mp3s that you can copy and import into your collection. It's what I did with those.

Speaking of the security for FFXIV being at times a bit overzealous, apparently I cannot log into my laptop -- on the same home internet! -- without it going OMG CHANGE YOUR PASSWORD! SECURITY BREACH!
I also tried to download their native 2FA client and it literally will not load on my phone. It just crashes.
FFXIV does that? I've logged into my account from Japan while on vacation and I don't think it's ever thrown a warning like that at me. Then again, I've had a physical authenticator device paired to the account since I opened it, so maybe it assumes everything's cool if I'm using one of those.

Yeah I’ve never seen an issue like that but I’ve had 2FA on my account since I created it.
Also I highly recommend using Microsoft Authenticator instead of the XIV-specific one just to save yourself the hassle of multiple 2FA apps in the future.
I think if you have 2FA it lets you log in wherever.
Maybe I'll go through Google Auth. I'm just a little leery as the last time I did that with a game, something happened and I couldn't log in at all, and had to contact support.

Heading into HW, finally. The only things I haven’t completed in ARR are the sightseeing log and PotD, and I’ll use PotD to level a new class (don’t need to have PotD done until SB) - and I still have all the trash quests to harvest for XP and such. I figure I can just pick something that looks interesting…
Part of me wants to run Dark Knight (heard lots of good things about it, the story kicks ass), but I’d rather pick something that’s not a second tank job- just something to fuck around with that has a cool look. About the only classes out of the set I haven’t run are Marauder/Warrior, Gunbreaker, Dark Knight, Scholar/Summoner, Astrologian, Samurai, Reaper, Machinist, Dancer, Red Mage. Everything else I’ve either run or have a reserved character for. What’s got a decent story to it?
But the end result of doing everything from ARR? You’re supposed to hit HW in the low 50s. Thanks to the amount of dungeon running I had to do as part of the relic weapon quests… I’m Lv. 68. Two levels out of Shadowbringers-level content and I’m not even to Ishgard yet. It’s just… an odd feeling, and HW has another eight-stage relic weapon.
One question, though- when I get to Idyllshire and grab Wondrous Tails, do I have to do stuff for that synced, or can I unsync stuff for it?

i'm very glad my tank partner enjoys gposing as much as I do, because we get some great shots. hoping when we get around to reclearing TEA I can pick up the gunbreaker weapon like he has.
What's the policy on spoilers for previous expansions?
The usual thing seems to be to put it in spoilers and say which expansion it's for above it so people know if they can open it. Always new players coming in, and it takes so long to get through to the end that they could be in here for months but not know the full story.
