This is understandable, but I kind of feel this way about QM, myself. It's just too chaotic. Out of all the Quick Matches I played with Dibby today, for example, not a single one had a Healer. That kind of shit drives me nuts. It doesn't feel like an actual game of HotS, because all the comp rules are thrown out the window. There's absolutely no expectation of balance in terms of team composition, and I feel like most matches are just 5 Assassins vs 5 Assassins. Then you have to contend with the fact that it's a total coinflip with regard to whether or not your teammates are going to play the objectives appropriately, and the whole experience just feels like shit. Plus, it takes upwards of 5+ minutes to even get a match going, and once you do, you're up against Cho'gall or some shit. And there's an almost guaranteed Abathur on one side or the other.
Quick Match also dramatically limits my hero pool, just because its so chaotic. I know I'm likely not to get a Healer, or a Tank, so I end up simply playing heroes like Sonya, who can do everything: she can frontline; she can peel; she can self-sustain; she can waveclear; she can merc; she has access to Giant Killer talents; she can initiate; she has access to multiple escapes and personal defensives; etc. Nothing else really makes sense to queue up as, you know what I mean? If I know for certain I'm going in with absolutely none of my bases guaranteed to be covered, I feel like I'm forced to play heroes that can cover every base. And that's super unfun for me, lol.

Also true, but you can say the exact same thing about Quick Match. By queuing up for that mode, you're just repeatedly throwing yourself upon the RNG altar. Sometimes, you'll have all of the answers to the enemy comp, sometimes you'll have none of them. Dibby and I played a a match on Braxis earlier where we had no healer, a Murky on our side versus a Butcher on theirs, and aside from me (on Mei) we were all squishies (Falstad, Genji, etc) versus Nazeebo and Zagara. Like, we're just going to get poked around all match and there's absolutely no defense against it. The game's over at the loading screen.
In ARAM, you don't need to worry about any of that shit: the queue times are instantaneous; the comps are relatively balanced (almost guaranteed to have a Tank and a Healer, oftentimes multiple Healers because its all teamfighting with no need for waveclear); you don't have to worry about your teammates not showing up for an objective, because the only objective is to teamfight. And I find that to be much, much more enjoyable, personally. Yeah, it's not "proper" HotS, but neither is Quick Match -- and at least ARAM is up-front about it, lol.
I'd play Unranked Draft, honestly, but the queue times are longer than waiting for your dad to come back from grabbing cigarettes.
Since QM is silly though, I only do it on the rare times I get to play on weekends/holidays (since SL is baaad then), and I'm part of the problem. Spamming things like Nova and Medivh or whatever
It's a silly mode I'm just going to have fun with it!
Edit: Ha, and on that note, we were losing and the enemy team was taking a late-game boss. That almost certainly woulda been game. So I get there just in time to Medivh Cheats Leyline it and steal the boss and win . That's so toxic in a mode where you can't counterdraft lol

There's been many a rant on the Into the Nexus podcast about how strong Junkrat is at all levels of play. But people sleep on him because they aren't good at his plalystyle or have no idea how busted traps are.
That's probably pretty accurate, yeah. Traps are pretty busted when they're used effectively; totally shuts down areas and prevents effective dives. He can also prevent dives on allies by just holding his bomb and throwing it in whenever enemies hard engage.
I totally fell for one of those Belial posts on the HotS reddit the other night. Bunch of supposed leaks from an upcoming patch. It had a bunch of stuff in it, but part of it was that he had edited some photos to look like the backsides of certain female characters were much less pronounced, and I was like, "fuck, yeah this confirms it's a real patch".

Aww but there was definitely a risk/reward strategy for sniping them. They could have just given them a bigger shield of they wanted to provide more response time, but if a team wants to just ignore someone chewing away at their well then they shouldn't get to keep it.

The balance wasn't there, though. The amount of effort it takes to stop a Genji who is well-sniping is very disproportionate to what the Genji has to do.
A lot of tweaks and changes. Nice, but as @kime said, a little bit more after such a long wait would have been nice. Although at this point, we should probably just be happy with whatever we get.

Thoughtful balance changes and some small reworks are fine with me. But I'm the kind of person who sets low expectations so as not to be disappointed in the first place.
I don't think it's being disappointed because some sort of expectations weren't met (except for MMMig who is Charlie Brown) so much as glum about the state of affairs, like being an orphan on Christmas morning. You know Santa isn't coming with presents for you so there's no surprise, but that doesn't mean you're wrong to feel sad.
