I personally feel that making Wells invulnerable is bad, and I'm not even someone who tries to snipe them. I just think that taking out the opponent's sustainability early on cripples their ability to lane effectively, which is a totally valid strat. The number of times I've had my Wells sniped out the gate by a Genji or something is literally a number I can count to with just my fingers, across however many thousands of matches I've played. I just don't think it's a big deal.

Keeping them vulnerable affects almost nobody, while making them invulnerable only takes away one niche way to contribute meaningfully to a match.

These Rehgar changes are definitely interesting to me. He was always meant to be a super aggressive Support, and that's still how I tend to play him when I do. Some of these Ghost Wolf talents are going to be really fun to work with. Like gaining armor for a few seconds on a lunge; that's exactly the kind of common sense buff that a lot of heroes need -- tweaks to characters so they actually have the tools they need to better preform the roles they're best known for.

The worse side effect of the well change is that people are just going to start sniping the Forts instead.

I actually do think I agree with you. The problem is also solved by removing Genji from the game.

I could see a sort of middle ground where the gate and/or towers have to be down first to make the well vulnerable. That way it can't just be sniped from the start, but after a point it becomes fair game.

That Probius cannon change looks fun

I'm actually super bummed about removing the pylon for the cannon to work. Like that goes against the concept design of cannons. It feels really ham-fisted and an obtuse attempt at making probius better.

Also his Q is basically useless now, and they didn't touch his Z at all, after spending so much effort on almost every other aspect of him.

I guess we sorta technically got a new hero in Rhegar??

Cannons working out of Pylon power is a lore hit, but honestly, Probius needs all the help he can get. Um...just pretend there's a Warp Prism locating overhead with just enough range to activate the Cannon and Probius can drop an Wifi Extender Pylon to power the Cannon to full potential. :)

Buffing probius' Z is the easiest way of making him a LOT stronger. As is now he's the easiest to die to dive after morales.

Hell they could give him or his buildings hardened shields, that'd be a great and simple buff.

They should remove his useless and non-lore Q and add a shield battery.

Or let him build multiple pylons to allow him to do great pylon walls and such (destructible obv). He can collect minerals as he does now to let him build multiple buildings, etc..

I think Probius should just get regenerating shields all the time like Fenix. Make them larger when he's near a pylon. Replace his Q with a taser that slows. Add an extra turret. Profit.

    I am aware.
Edit: I think I’ve been on record saying that the amount of skill and game knowledge needed to hit masters is about equal to what it takes to hit gold in other MOBAs. The rest is luck and timing.

I don't know if I completely agree with that statement, about Masters HotS players being Gold "Other MOBA" players, just because I've played other mobas at a decent enough level and I'm infinitely better at HotS. Like, I don't know off-hand what my exact MMR from back when I played DotA was, but I have this screenshot that shows me playing consistently at "high" skill level. And again, I'm like, objectively and undisputably a stronger and more comprehensive HotS player in every imaginable metric lol.

For the record, I totally understand the point you're trying to make @Munkus Beaver and I agree that the general overall skill level of the HotS playerbase is incredibly low compared to other MOBA communities; I just think Gold=Masters is a little off-base.

I mean, I am too. It's purely anecdotal reasoning that I'm going off of and noticing how people in the various brackets would approach mechanics and game state. I can get away with the stupidest shit in HotS in masters by playing either a high skillcap hero or by playing deathwing.
