I know there's a joke that everything under Diamond is the same, but I find that hard to believe. I think that the skill levels are similar to Bronze, but map understanding is slightly better in Silver. People still fight in uncoordinated messes and don't watch the minimap, but it's definitely noticeable from Bronze -> Silver.
I'm not sure I'd trust anyone's judgment if they actually believe that everyone under Diamond is the same. It's a meme for GMs/pros to say that "everyone is bad", but that's a measure relative to them. I think if you asked for a thoughtful opinion they'd say that there are meaningful differences in skill level between all ranks.
If anything, differences in skill become more pronounced at the ends of the spectrum. So in your case, the difference between Bronze and Silver should actually be quite stark. Actually, based on what we know of the targeted rank distribution, there's a very good chance that the lower half of Bronze players have particularly large skill variance between them.
Everyone is bad for different reasons - and maybe at GM you no longer find ppl who are bad at simple macro or whatever for example.
But someone can in be in silver for always having bad positioning or bad macro a bunch of other things and be good at one thing. So the games are always mixed bag of what your teammates are bad at for a lot of levels.
I bet out of bronze you probably more reliably get a tank and healer in draft; but a lot of gold/plat games ppl are so used to a standard draft that they will sometimes get blown up by 4 assassins/monk because they can't adjust to how much extra damage there is

Generally speaking, game knowledge and macro abilities will increase dramatically as your rise up. Heroes is a much lower execution game than other MOBAs, so the best/easiest way to climb is from knowledge about game states and comp interactions.
I will say - from experience - that the skill gap between silver and masters is about the same as the skill gap between masters and pros. And I kinda feel like that's true for basically any sport as well.

The mid ranges are also where you find the shitload of people who are pretty good when they're trying, but will take literally any excuse offered to throw or be toxic shitbags.
Rough loss on Tomb to bring the streak to an end....
Sitting at mid-Silver 3 now. Can't explain how I've gotten this far considering how long I was stuck in Bronze 3. Malth buffs? Better teammates? Luck?

I'm not very good with healers, but I can guarantee you that I'd have the hardest time adapting to Whitemane's playstyle. Deal damage to heal on paper seems straight-forward, but it never works out when I try it. Lots of missing nuisance. Meanwhile....

The fact that he came out of that at basically full mana...

Yeah I don't play Whitemane and the few times I have in ARAM, I noticed it's very hard to overcome the bias of "healers should stay safe and heal". The reality is that you should be playing her like a melee assassin while keeping a heal on yourself at all times. But it's easier said than done.

Whitemane is miserable to play in ARAM. She relies on either playing from an advantage (like that clip) or playing with a competent team (...). Sometimes you get lucky and it works, though. That's better than Morales, who is always bad in ARAM (and everywhere else outside of a juice pirates team).
Fan charges $10 for a hero request and $100 for Probius. Someone broke him tonight.
hahaha I didn't have the stream up tonight, was watching something else, but I'll do it for Probius
I really think if they would just update Probius' Z then he may actually be good enough to play normally. But just, any damage cancelling the Z is really bad.

I understand the allure of Orb Ming in ARAM, but wow is it the definition of a potato test.
When the enemy gets li ming its orb on cd all game when your ally gets li ming its maybe a magic missile at some mobs once every ten seconds never to wave clear
The thing I like most about Orb Ming in ARAM is actually the incredible siege potential it has. Being able to force your opponents to cede ground by throwing consistent damage into their structures is great. Every time Orb's off cooldown, you can hurl it from downtown toward a Tower or a Fort, and you force the enemies to make a decision: do I let Ming rat my structures down, or do I intercept and eat the damage myself?
And it's a lose-lose situation, because she can only hit the structure so many times before you lose access to that resource, but also the Orb resets itself if it hits an enemy after traveling a certain distance, meaning you'll end up eating the damage for no reason because she'll just throw it again immediately if you block.
Shitter Mings throw Orbs at enemy players; the better call is to throw them at structures and force your enemy to eat big damage or lose position.
