Crafting stations are only buyable with LOTRO Points (495 each for farmland, forge, workbench, study and oven)…but on the other hand, if one of your neighbors have one outside, you can just wander on over and see if you can use it (they might have made it available for everyone to use).

You’d also need to look into a supplier’s horn (also 495 points, or have fun hoofing it back to the small shop in the housing center in the neighborhood), but the beauty of these stations and supplier is they’re Gondorian and can handle crafts of all levels, from the basics to endgame.

If you’re running out of money cap space, you’ve got a few options:

    1) Buy the currency cap remover for 395 LOTRO Points, and all your characters now and forevermore can carry up to 9,999 gp, 999 sp, 999 cp on them.

    2) Get a VIP subscription, which turns off the gold cap as long as you’re VIP.

    3) Spend real money on the game to get bumped to premium, which boosts your gold cap from 2 gp to 5 gp.

    4) You can go to the bank and “buy” coins: 1 bag of copper coins for 100 silver, 1 bag of silver coins for 1 gp, or one bag of gold coins for 10 gp. These coins can be sold off to any merchant for however much you paid for them at any time, but they don’t count against your gold cap.

I just started, I barely know what I'm doing, but I'm having fun. Although I really had to tweak the brightness/contrast/gamma settings because everything is too bloody dark. Makes the loading screens look ridiculously washed out but the game is now perfect.

I thought the gold cap was turned off even if you let VIP expire? I could have sworn I read that at some point?

Every once in a while I get the urge to play this, download the game, patch it, log on to my Champion that's hangin out in Rohan and then look at my skill bar and decide that I'm never gonna remember what the hell any of this stuff does anymore.

Heh I'm trying to get a character to max level/current content currently I'm at 109, but man alive Rohan is still the run killer you spend so much time in an area with great music but I hate the mounted combat.

I would like some money because these are artisanal nuggets of wisdom philistine.

Yeah, it feels super clunky. Neat idea, but it's just sorta meh. Same thing with the artifacts or legendary items or whatever they're called. They were really freaking amazing in the Mines of Moria era, but then they just sorta became another item you constantly upgrade only more complicated.

I like the new legendary system its way better than the old one because at least you can keep up with your primary damaging weapon. Before after mirkwood you'd be hurting to find legendary upgrades outside of the AH.
