Going to Get A Wireless Router...

I'm going to Circuit City after work today to buy a wireless router for my apartment. After much searching on the boards and other sites, most point to getting the Linksys WRT54G.

Is this simple to set up? I've heard people say it's yes and no. Should I be considering something else?

How complex it is to set up depends upon what you want from it.

I plugged my internet into it and was surfing a minute later. I also live way the fuck away from other people and wasn't concerned with any issues of security at the time.

They're pretty damn painless to set up, and they're also pretty popular so it's pretty easy to find a solution if you do have a problem.

Someone around here the other day was suggesting the Linux version of that router so you can use nifty things like DD-WRT with it. If you're into that sort of thing that is. My nerdiness makes me wanna go get said version. Curse you v5 WRT54G! Curse you!
