...so what does this mean? They'll be streaming primarily in Japanese from now on? They'll continue as normal but the branding has changed? They're gonna start letting people go? What!
It means some of the ID and KR dedicated staff are let go, with the rest rolled into JP. The KR and ID branch-specific YT channels are shut down (they stay up, just stop getting updated), all ID/KR "branch" videos going forward will be posted on the JP channel, and an audition for the next ID wave is either cancelled or postponed. The talents are all sticking around and they're not being forced to change anything about what they do, at least not right now.
I find this all somewhat worrisome, in as much as there are really fun people in the ID branch that I hope are going to continue being a) employed and b) multilingual streamers, but if it smooths operations and makes things easier for them, then fine I guess!
I just hope this isn’t a sign of contraction like when they shut down their India division. I think a lot of them could land on their feet, but none of them are Hololive huge or anything, so it’d be a rough ask

From my experiance with Twitch subathons, once past a certain size, the streamer has to start capping to some extent, usually either by upping the tip required to add time, or reducing the time added per tip.
