Had the game crash when I opened the map traveling toward the steel titan. Thankfully only lost like half an hour/10 catches from my dex. Turned autosave back on after that. Make sure if you turn yours off that you save frequently!
Only turn off auto save for shiny hunting purposes
Also no gift or encounter pokemon are available as shiny Pokemon so you don't have to worry about that
I have a podcast now. It's about video games and anime!Find it here.
The one that I know is that the Paradox Pokémon are entirely different. In Scarlet, they’re all primitive versions of existing Pokémon from the distant past. In Violet, they’re all variants of Pokémon from the distant future, resembling robots and such.

Like Legends, I really hate how detached from the action the combat camera is in this game. It takes a lot away from the fights, it makes you feel so removed. Really needs to be an option to make it stay in the cinematic style of SWSH for all encounters.
Constantly having to click the right analog stick just to get a decent angle in every battle sucks.
Tera raids are SUPER speedy. They really took the criticism that the dynamax ones were too slow to heart which was good to see.
So I just caught a Nacli. This thing is a Mario power up. No seriously. The design looks so much like a variant mushroom you’d get in one of the Galaxy games. It’s a Salt Mushroom that turns you into Salt Mario.
So far I think I hate all the new mons that aren’t based on old mons. Which I don’t think I’ve ever had that reaction before. There’s just something un-Pokémon art style or overdesigned about a bunch of these. Fuecoco’s second form sure is a thing.
It just is sad that I want to play with only new mons
Well if we’re talking about funny glitches: when my Koraidon first went into his ride form in a cutscene, he somehow ended up completely out of frame, making it really funny to see the characters talk about how he looked. I thought the model failed to load, but it was just him being positioned wrong.
After final evolution last night... the tinkalink line is definitely my favorite of the new stuff. Especially after the horror of what the tarantula one became.
Emulators, which we don’t play because they are illegal and you’ll die, generally have gameplay speed multipliers and jeeze, it’s near impossible to play the actual games once you, if you did and no one ever has, played one that way.
Man people really like to use the word disaster a lot. This is no cyberpunk it has its issues and there has been online issues with pokemon since sword and shield and slow down issues since x/y. Ladyjubs and I spent some time multiplayer with each other. It worked fine. We had a blast. Multiplayer is as stable as single player in our experience which yeah is not great but was fully playable.

The framerate is bad, there's some visual glitches and slow loading.
Pawmi’s evolution is so cute! And so interesting with its typing!
Wish I had the same excitement for Tarountula’s evo, but it at least as an interesting new move.
Also, my Lechonk evolved
I love him having an ability that’s a copy of Cofagrigus’s. It’s just that it’s a lingering smell instead of a mummy’s curse. It’s a fun idea, and could lead to some shenanigans in battle.
Enlong on

None of the stuff that bothered people technicalwise in Legends or SWSH really bothered me but I'm really feeling it here.I'm really hoping Gamefreak can patch this becuase this for me is the first time in the series its become too much of a problem to ignore.

Our multiplayer experience is that it didnt seem to add fps problems. To be clear heh. Yeah it does have its slowdowns and fps issues. I hope we get some stability patches. I would say its not as bad as Sword and Shield Wild areas though. And this game is much more immense than those.
I hope so too. It hasn’t been anything like a dealbreaker to me, but the game being better for more people can only be a good thing.
Edit
So I caught a stantler, and am sad to learn that there’s no in-game way to evolve it into Wyrdeer. I get that you’ll eventually be able to transfer PLA mons over, but considering the game’s themes, it could’ve been neat to include a way to bring those ancient evolutions back in the modern day.
One of the first things I do with any open world game is to check to see if there is fall damage, mainly to make sure the player character isn’t secretly a robot (It’s happened before!). Since there is no HP for the player character themself in Pokémon, I was wondering how’d they’d handle it, and it’s actually pretty creative:
Your phone is literally haunted. When it senses that you are falling, it will pull itself out of your pockets and use its levitation to act as a parachute. No worries about fall damage, and you can drop down to explore whenever you want.

I just found Toedscool and I am officially speechless. Of all the regional forms, I wouldn't have seen that one coming. As horrifying to look at as it is funny.

I'm not sure I've ever had an evolved starter at the first gym

I hope there’s another patch soon.
3DS Friend Code: 0404-6826-4588 PM if you add.
Side note, I really dislike how they removed the GTS from the games and make people use pokemon home for trading and then delay the release of it.
Look you can snu-snu hot dad just as well
Instead of an animation followed by “You used Potion on X! X gained 20 HP!”
It’s
“You used potion on X!”
pause
animation
“X gained 20 HP!”
pause
Done
It doesn’t add up to much in a vacuum, but I wish they’d drop convention and condense this shit.
I'm constantly begging for harder difficulty options and Gamefreak are just straight up taking out what minor bits there were left.
They're ruthless.
