I was a bit confused when the leader sent out a Sudowoodo as his final Pokémon. Like, it fits the theme, but it’s a fake plant; it’s rock type. And then he used Terastalize to turn it into a grass type. That’s funny and clever; I like it.
Edit:
And my naclie evolved.
He went from Super Mario Galaxy to Minecraft. Like, again, I can’t look at him and think of anything else.
I did level 1 of the first three, but then the treasure hunt happened
So far, just seem to be fun lil lessons about gameplay and stuff in the world/lore so far.
I like em but they don't seem to have any particular reward or function as far as I can tell.
As you do more gyms more classes unlock and you do get things like exp candy and apparently gift pokemon but I haven't seen that yet
Also, you can talk to the teachers outside of class, even though they don’t have a speech bubble above them. This can sometimes result in the game telling you that you have grown a little closer with them, kind of like a Persona social link. I have no idea if anything comes of it, though. I’ve only had it happen once for most of the teachers so far.
Hey there’s more clothes right? There’s so many accessories but they look bad with my 4 seasons school uniforms.
Nope
I'm convinced it's because they ran out of time and it's also why this is an "All ages school "a totally real thing so you have 60 year olds ins school uniforms
I have a podcast now. It's about video games and anime!Find it here.

I can kind of get the idea of school uniforms all things considered, but not being able to mix and match shirts and vests and pants and such is a real bummer. And a missed opportunity.
A Capellan's favorite sheath for any blade is your back.
So turns out I caught a Shiny Meowth without even realizing it. First shiny in... well, a long time.
It was one of the wandering Terastal'd Pokemon, so I'm guessing whatever glimmering it's supposed to do was superseded by the Terastal glimmering. Probably a poor idea, all things considered. Oh, and it's Flying-Type Terastal, which is... probably decent? I dunno how to rate those.

Her electric terra type Mismagius was actually annoying, pleasantly surprised!
I'd just been murdering stuff with coverage moves so far, but that thing made me glad I kept Yawn on Clodsire so I could just slowly poison jab it to death.
now that i know i'm doomed to school uniforms forever, maybe i surrender my fashion dreams and wear the daft punk helmet for the rest of the game.
the school uniform has ruined my standard strat of monochrome outfit and doomed it to being ska at best.
maybe i can make dreampunk work? the pieces are mostly there.

I'm really enjoying this one. All the new pokemon feel great, the characters are consistently amusing, and the game flows really well.
And apparently I'm lucky, because everyone is talking about disastrous glitches but this is legit the only game I have played this month that hasn't glitched something serious on me (in the case of Raji: An Ancient Epic, which I got on steam, straight up breaking my save when I was near the end). So let's hope the luck continues.
Only complaint is that dangit, every cool new pokemon I find is a physical attacker. My whole team is basically full punch.
I like the Tera Raid mechanics but holy shit the fucking browser is trash. Maybe one in five is joinable with what feels like a 30 second delay between attempts. How are they still so bad at this?

They got worse somehow. Last gen you could refresh any time and that included other modes in the queue

about halfway through this title and i think i can tell what happened.
Covid hit the dev team really hard, and they took a little extra time to get to the release version’s content, which meant they had to do triage in QA. all the game breaking stuff is fixed, and all the visual glitches were ignored for time. looks like hell sometimes, but the basic data is honestly very solid and i haven’t yet seen a crash.
It's frustrating that the game has the visual and occasional stability issues that it does, because so far, in terms of the moment-to-moment gameplay, this is probably the best Pokemon's ever been?
Character redesign any time you want (even if you still pay for hair revisions).
Move Relearner and Name Change function built into Pokemon Summary.
Encounters visible on the overworld (for those who hate the concept of random battles).
Big pools of available Pokemon right from the beginning (as opposed to Route 1 Trash Mammal and Route 1 Trash Bird the whole way to the second town).
Non-linear format past the introductory hour.
Already had a couple gutbusting moments in the plot (the Fire Base for Team Star in particular) that I've reached.
Kupi on
My favorite musical instrument is the air-raid siren.

Are the items in pokeballs throughout the world hand placed or is it all random?
Honestly, three gyms and two titans in, this is shaping to be a contender for the spot of my second favorite pokemon game (its plot would have to also deliver to get past SuMo, so we'll see). I had things I wanted to do today, but instead all I did was pokemon. Meanwhile I never could manage to get myself to finish Legends.

Edit: Finally tracked down a foreign ditto! yay! If anyone wants an english ditto or something from scarlet just yell at me.
And the first star boss I defeated had more character than I expected
And I love almost all the new pokemon
Too bad about the performance and ugly terrain. I think this could have been a huge hit

Welcome to fashion hell.

Nymble is one of my favorites so far.
Evolve it
but then I caught a shiny Marill so uh, adjustments must be made
Yes evolve it. It is one of my fav bugs of all time!

All the others can go home now.
That's a "Food? Can I eat this?" face if I ever saw it.
Nope, it's adorable, but it's nowhere near the top imo.

I think the pokeballs are hand placed, and the gold shiny spots are random and regenerate.

I swear to god...if I trip over one more Rookidee.
