So that spoiler pokemon is probably better off with a set-up set.
I think so yeah, especially with Leech Life to regain HP if needed. It can also learn Morning Sun but I'm not sure there's room to take something off for that move.
Yeah. The problem there is that without something like Tinted Lens, Bug+Fighting loses to too many types. Gonna want something like Flare Blitz or Dual Wingbeat to cover Flying, Poison, Ghost, Fairy at least neutrally. Which doesn't leave room for Morning Sun, if you wanna use Bulk Up.
So it's a good thing Leech Life exists as an alternative.

Some minor DLC leaks plus some speculation (spoilering since title/thumbnail are a bit spoilery - also spoiler warning for SV main game too in the video itself)
The leaks are near the front (just a few things from Riddler Khu) and the rest is mostly speculation based on that and other in-game stuff. But it's really interesting. I feel like he might be in the right ballpark.
In particular I didn't make the hexagon/Zygarde connection but that totally makes sense. Pokemon Company really did Kalos dirty in gen 6 by never giving it a third game so there's so much left un-explored there (it's sad when the anime presented a way better story than the main game did and actually made Team Flare seem like a real threat). Would love to see the DLC try to rectify this.
I don't know if the "Area Zero" = "AZ" thing is just a coincidence or actually an intentional connection but that's neat too.

I definitely didn't put together that
The dragon tamer sisters used the three dragons from XY and you find them right next to the mysterious border corner of the map
This game is so good I think I might just download Violet and run through it on that as well. LadyJubs and I share family mode so I have access to violet too heh.
Someone please trade me an iron hands, my raid family is dying
Yesterday I used the community link codes for swapping a Brute Bonnet for an Iron Hands two times. It did take a few tries to find a willing partner. It does feel like more people were trying to offload Brute Bonnets given the times I connected with another Scarlet player and one of us had to back out. In contrast, exchanging Scream Tails for Iron Bundles was pretty simple. Haven't tested the other community codes yet though. Funnily enough, both Iron Hands came from Japan. I guess more English speaking players have seen the videos on how strong Iron Hands is for raids so there are more US Scarlet players trying to swap for them.
Since someone was asking about raising pokemon to high level, I thought it was worth mentioning that between being traded for and holding the Lucky Egg, my Iron Hands that I've leveled for raiding grew extremely quickly. I want to say it was low 60s after one round of beating stuff up in Area Zero's depths until out of moves. It couldn't quite one shot everything down there. Then I read the tip shared earlier about using Ham Sandwiches to make Chansey spawn in that Area Zero cave and two rounds of that buff got Iron Hands to level 93 (plus other pokemon pretty high up as they got swapped in when Iron Hands ran out of PP). If you're not a stickler for being the Original Trainer on a 'mon, I could even see trading for something you could catch yourself being a good way to get something to high level fast to jump start the raid candy train.
Me hosting a Ghost Scyther with my Ceruledge. I can deal decent damage with my choice band shadow claw!

Online raids are suffering from something that plagues a number of MMOs that have extremely casual general gameplay but also mechanically dense cooperative content: You have tons of players completely unaware of the underlying game mechanics and strategies developed to deal with them. But you also have a lot of players aware of common builds but not necessarily the underlying principles that make them generally good choices and not the deeper mechanical understanding that lets you adjust or know when to run something that may not normally be optimal but is great for certain encounters.
Doesn't help that you have about 1.4 seconds to decide which raid you want to try to join before it's full. Then they don't want to back out because it might take 10 minutes before they get into another raid
Thanks for this. Never heard of this system before but I was able to get all of the violet exclusives pretty quickly.
Except for a Quaxly. Nobody seems to have picked Quaxly as their starter, I've been getting matched up with other Sprigatito/Fuecoco traders endlessly for the last 90 minutes.
So yeah, anyone with a Quaxly egg would be much appreciated. I also need a tradeback with my Koraidon for Miraidon so I can get that final entry.

The raid misery is why I pull my classic online RPG gambit: play the role everyone needs and nobody wants. I have a Gardevoir with Life Dew, Reflect, Light Screen, and Moonblast, with Light Clay for the item. I think a Hatterene with the Healer ability does it even better, but teams just do so much better with reliable healing and half damage the improvement would be marginal at best.
My favorite musical instrument is the air-raid siren.
I want to get my espeon trained for a nice flexible support mon. A friend also ran a monstrous chansey for the charizard raid that was just like screens and heals
You know what blows my mind? Those one-time-only held items? The kind you use in competitive only because who'd spend that much money and menu twiddling replacing them in the main game? They auto-refresh now. Wish I'd known that a while ago...

I realized that when I accidentally used a throat spray on my skeledirge in a regular battle and got annoyed but then it was still there after battle! I couldn’t remember if that was a change or not. I remember getting really wrecked in previous gens by stuff like that.
As far as I can tell, every evolution or battle item is available in one of the delibird stores.
I didn’t know there was an npc gengar trade. I’m missing that one still
Yeah items that were once "One and done" outside of online now only work once in battle but regenerate after battle now.
Absolutely amazing quality of life change. Can't count the number of times i accidently wasted my focus sash and such accidently and had to grind more stupid BP
I'm not sure if that's accurate for raids at least, this sitrus berry has been on my azumarill for tons of raids and it always refreshes
Oh the change is that yeah the berries etc refresh is more places now. I had thought it had existed outside of VGC etc for awhile but I didnt know for sure. Guess not.

Yeah imposter will copy the lead. If you're the host just use your lowest level pokemon and then someone can one shot it.

I am doing the entire pokedex grind a 2nd time on Scarlet to hunt the Scarlet paradox
I might be insane.
And forget all its damaging moves for good measure? Hmm..
Edit: Better idea, just bring a pokemon that only knows Self-Destruct?

I made the mistake of locking in my choice immediately so it would not let me cancel it.

I’m missing too many things to bother with. But if you’re on Scarlet there are paradox guys I don’t have yet.

Bring back alternate evolutions.
Yeah but you could put them all on a selection of re-useable evolution items. The awkwardness is a design choice, not the way it has to be.
Or just make all those items easy enough to get. Anyways, mostly I just wanted to draw a very big head.
@akjak
I can give you all of the Scarlet paradox guys no problem.
If you can rustle up a haunter so it can trade evolve into a Gengar that would be perfect.
Now I just need the stupid auction house to sell me a metal coat.
Only online
