Damn. That comic was really good, and had a lot of cool pagan imagery and spiritualism. I always meant to get back to it at some point

It's still got that stuff (though not as much as the earlier parts did), and to the author's credit they haven't been lacing any Born Again stuff in since they converted. Thinking about it, the only parts dealing with Christianity were written way back in 2017. It's worth reading.

Strange that the social media based entirely around short small messages takes the longest to load. It's the main reason I don't use twitter, even on the website itself it can take an unreasonable amount of time for a page to load.

They did promise that they'd already written out the rest of the comic and weren't going to be changing it, including how it ended. I was... very skeptical, even if they genuinely thought that. But hey, maybe they did.
I pretty much stopped reading at that point, so I wouldn't know. :(

Having read the ending yesterday, I sincerely doubt the plan all along was to have an overly long action scene that was too confusing to follow, then quickly stop everything with no resolution to the setting or characters. It makes the ending of Redtail (which I thought was just okay at best) look like a masterstroke.

Twitter is a cancer that spreads tendrils of misery through the arteries of the internet

And yet it's still better than facebook.

I don't know has twitter been involved in several millitary coups/ authoritarian crackdowns?

It took me several weeks to appreciate it, but that letter from the survivor on drive literally had them apologizing for not being born a girl.

I kick myself for now appreciating something so obvious

Seriously, just kick him off. You outrank him now, so if you say something pithy like "You're fired!" as you do it, under Hollywood Rules it won't even count as murder.

I think the implication is that Joyce is on her period, though why Becky counted back 3 months completely eludes me.

I dunno, is there something that happens to people with Joyce's biology every month that affects their energy levels?

Yeah, it's the month counting that threw me. Other than it being three months since the Bad Dad Saga, I don't see it.

i think it's supposed to be january in DOA so becky technically only counts back two months, which is not crazy for a long cycle, but also it's an extremely tortured way to make that joke

They put it really weird in the comic, like unnecessarily ambiguous.

You know what? Nanowrimo's cancelled on account of the world is stupid.

I read it as her counting the occurrence of Joyce feeling bad once each of the last three months and realizing it was probably menstrual stuff.
