I ended up having to check the wiki to figure out the evolution for the Flash Arrow.
I managed to correctly guess that Bracer was needed (thematically appropriate and mechanically too), but I don't think I would've figured out to try Stone Mask.
The second item isn't stone mask, it's clover. I'm pretty sure all the upgrade items for the new weapons are on the map somewhere. I just picked everything up and prayed to RNGesus and it worked out fine.
VS DLC 2 achievement complete. There's more variety than the first DLC, which I appreciated and the "finale" so to speak is very good. As stated previously, I like the new weapons from this one quite a bit. My three complaints on this are:
1) Getting 100k kills in a run (one of the unlock tasks) isn't interesting, it's just tedious (I got set in a good spot and went and brushed my teeth).
2) They fixed the text formatting of the core game's Grimoire entries to where they're readable on console... then made the exact same mistake for the DLC ones. This is just unprofessional, frankly. See also, the achievement numbers on the unlock screen are deeply wrong, which I could take as a joke of some kind, except they were previously correct during DLC 1.
3) Seal 2 is a good idea since they've added a ton of new weapons since Seal 1 (making it not fit its purpose very well after you clear the DLCs). However, just thoughtlessly continuing the price scaling is quite unreasonable for an upgrade with this many more entries to buy. What's the point of adding a QOL feature that requires like 10+ hours of gold grinding to actually use?
Oh and bonus complaint, the price for the caterpillar character is stupid, screw that. It should not have the same price as the final boss character!
The caterpillar is just that busted. Give him Disco of Gold and then eventually Sarabande of Healing, and with a smart build, you're nearly invincible through sheer healing power and EXP gain.
Addendum, getting 100k kills is very fast if you look up how farming works in this game. I was just a dummy playing the game normally. Made like 800k gold yesterday AFK farming.
Yeah, caterpillar is totally busted. Bone Zone with Disco of Gold, then make sure to get prismatic missile, shadow servant and candelabra (other stuff as suits your fancy). I make 4M gold reproducibly in under 20 minutes game time and then quit out manually since the game is stuttering so much I've been afraid to push longer so it doesn't crash. No need for afk with that kind of turnaround I'm not sure what the interaction is and haven't done extensive testing, but shadow servant and candelabra seem like the most important parts to really drive the massive inflation.
Edit:
Strangely enough most of the time it doesn't even upgrade the weapons since I hit max level on the basic items by like minute 6 and by the time it passes minute 10 the game is so laggy that it doesn't even register chests anymore, lol
Edit2:
New record, 7M gold in under 9 minutes. Had all items max level in 30 seconds game time. Definitely broken, but I’m not complaining!

Took down the Focari boss! ...Then it hit me IRL because I got sick the next day.
Also finished my first Inverse run. Was really humbling with regular characters but I finally managed with Ms. Luminaire (and got Lv200 while I was at it).
Back to unlocks! Just got around to unlocking Arcana IX and Cosmo Pavone.

Welp, I got Genevieve’s kill count achievement (in endless, natch). I ultimately did so by getting stuff like Exkizzibur, Spellstrom, and Sigma Sword, and then nabbing Divine Bloodline.
And hot damn is Divine Bloodline absolutely busted if you build around it. Before I quit, I had well over 10,000 max hp, and everything was dying immediately. I’d also picked up Boogaloo in the Dark Night for uncapped Area growth. The attack sprites were fully blinding; I had no idea where I was on the map lol
Getting Torrona’s Box to make Sole Solition didn’t hurt at all either.
Turns out eggs on Sammy are a trap just leading to more slowdown. Turned those off and also turned off damage numbers and was able to hit 50M gold in under 30 minutes game time before it started to chug hard enough I got nervous and killed it.
I just started up VS after a long time away, and my save is gone. Has anyone seen this? Did they change so much stuff since launch (I think I was in early access?) that progress got reset? Is it because I'm in the beta branch?
my save also got dumped from a long time ago in early access to post-launch. i just played through it again though, unsure if there's a way to get it back.
A band of heroes with weapons that they're unable to aim, that never stop firing.
They start off scared, then once they find some more weapons and a book, a piece of spinach and a candelabra, they go mad with power.
Nobody remembers the singer. The song remains.

I seem to remember this being an issue when they switched from local saves to saving on the Steam cloud, but don't remember the fix for that since my save didn't reset.
There is a guide in the VS section of Steam, not sure if this link will work, but there's a few different things to try.
Almost finished up the base game cheevs in VS! Just need to banish, uh, 20 weapons in one run.
...Hm. Maybe I shouldn't have bought Megalo Menya just yet?
Use Queen Sigma, it's very easy that way.
Uh... I think this is the last thing I need to get Queen Sigma.
If you have all 5 levels of Banish purchased (for 10 uses), play with standard Menya (+8 Banish) and pick Silent Old Sanctuary for your first Arcana (+3 Banish), you can hit the required amount of Banishes. And Silent Old Sanctuary helps you survive a run with that few weapons available.
Turns out I was confusing the achievements for the Collection. Also took down the Directer while I was at it.
...Would really like to replay some of these bosses, even if they're not actually that difficult.
Beating the Director unlocks a new thing. Use that thing, the Director will come back and let you get the second thing. Use both, and that level will stay for you to play at will.

For those who play HoloCure, the launcher has been deprecated so you will need to update manually via itch.io
...Or wait until the just-announced Steam release, coming alongside the next update.

I like side content and mini games in any game I play. Just ways to change up the pace or new ways to play the game
So a shower thought came to me and I asked what if there was fishing, I always enjoy fishing mini games. I thought to myself, it's not like HoloCure HAS to be only a survivors clone game, what if it could be other things too?
and then I asked myself, why stop at survivors and fishing, what if HoloCure was EVERY GAME, ALL AT THE SAME TIME, and thus I am laying the groundworks for the distant future where HoloCure is every game ever
So now there's a whole new system of connected mechanics. Fishing and the other things teased aren't just isolated little mini-games that exist for no reason. It's all connected! These are things you don't have to do if you don't care for it, but it'll really help you if you do. It'll make sense when you get to play it. (:
And rest assured, 0.6 will also have all the other usual content that every update had so far. new characters, new stages/hardmodes, new weapons/items/stamps/collabs/costumes, new mechanics, everything you can expect usually

I played this on your recommendation in Chat and I like it pretty well.
On the positive side of things, the classes and weapons all feel pretty unique to each other and some are even pretty unique in general, like the AoE attacks that deal fixed damage spread by how many targets you hit. The enemy variety is pretty good for the genre and it definitely satisfies the kill-giant-hordes itch with around 10-30k kills depending on which stage you are on. The achievement system is a really neat way to encourage build and class changeups, which is also helped by how each hero doesn't just have a unique weapon, but a line of kind-of unique upgrades and upgrades they get more or less benefit from, like the archer having a frail constitution and getting less from tank based upgrades. There are also just a lot of really well designed little things, like how multihit is a percentage to solve the problem of it either being a broken powerful upgrade or useless on high-hit attacks, or how the achievements to do X damage with Y weapon can easily be farmed at the end of the currently hardest content. The aesthetic is also pretty nice in a throwback Diablo II style sort of way.
On the negative side of things, I really don't like the item meta progression system. The pay-gold-for-stats system is fine, if tuned a bit aggressively towards meta progression, but the item system is crazy. During runs, you get 2-3 gear drops from bosses when they don't drop subweapons, with seven gear slots total. When you unlock the item meta progression, you instantly get given three pieces of gear you can take into every run, and every run after that you can dump a single item into a well, which then goes into a list of gear you can buy as permanently-unlockable starting gear later.
Gear is somewhere between extremely strong to run-defining; the default gear you can add is like getting eight levels of stats for free, and more powerful items are even more, like one helm that gives +50% attack speed for free (this is like 6 levels). But because gear is so powerful and so run defining, there's rarely ever going to be a reason to switch out your pre-set gear for anything you find during the run, and even if you do find something exciting then you've got to do the sad thing of tossing it in the well instead of actually getting to use it. The other problem is that rare gear is expensive, which is fine for generalist gear to make sure all your characters are broken, but makes it way harder to justify buying the character specific stuff like huge buffs for fire (only useful for the exterminator) when you can just buy permanent meta-upgrades for everybody instead.
Overall it's pretty good, I just hope that they iron out some of the kinks and make the items a bit more balanced/tuned around doing specific builds instead of generic power.

I really like the diablo 2 look of halls of torment. I've unlocked all the classes they currently have so far. I don't know if there's a level after the third, though, as I haven't beaten that one yet.
I saw that and immediately hoped there will also be a PS4/5 release of Vampire Survivors with co-op. Hopefully online co-op too, because my friend group is scattered far and wide, and getting together for couch co-op is not really logistically possible. But I'd love to survive some vampires online with my friends.
Tried out that there Holocure since it's free. Good god, so many monodirectional attacks. No wonder it has a strafe button, it wouldn't be playable without one.
Soulstone survivors is a bit overwhelming with the myriad systems but I think it’s pretty good. But Jesus Christ, so many little widgets and systems and currencies

I'm burning through that one now, I like that there is so much to do. I've found that I play games as long as there is some achievable progression, so I really like all the out of game systems to power yourself up and unlock new stuff. And also there is a bunch of new stuff to look forward to since they've got half of the total characters with ascension paths still to release. Kind of like Time Wasters in that regard since it has been getting weekly patches that usually come with new captains, weapons or game modes and accompanying achievements.
Soulstone was good. I enjoyed what I played of it. I think the runs just became too long for me.
I've gotten back into Boneraiser Minions, they added a ton of content, and just being a Necromancer 24/7 while all your "weapons" are minions you've raised is great.
I played some Brotato as well, interesting enough, and seems to have workshop integration.

The only thing to go off for this is the Bestiary, which is funny. So I hope they're aiming for a (violent) comedy show.
