Well when RNG gives me that S-rank I'll use it. But until then it's Hero EXP which is honestly what I'd call the best for a new player considering the change to penguins as the primary source of EXP instead of dogwalking.

Leveling a new unit? Penguins. Leveling a fodder unit? Penguins. Leveling a dog to limit break using the fodder units? More penguins. Penguins can't roll low and they will never betray you.

Remember you can sell penguins as well. Took me some time to find the new menu to do it. Use low level ones for leveling then sell the medium/high ones for gold.

Tons of QoL improvements coming. They are removing doggo's and replacing with flowers that don't take inventory space and you don't have to level, just combine it seems. They are also adding gear score to items, which is interesting. We'll see what calculus they use. Lots of ML design drops as well as Episode 5 and summer content drops.

You have to wonder if they haven't been doing QoL stuff and working on a ton of content the last 6+ months which is why it's been pretty barren, all to unleash it here when Star Rail releases. They'll have a constant flood of content to keep folks engaged and less likely to fully jump ship. Versus if it was just small pieces here and there, folks might just drop E7 for Star Rail.

Star Rail doesnt really entice me. PVE gachas never hold me even though I like to complain about the RNG in PVP gachas it adds staying power. I imagine people will play Star Rail but if Dragonalia Lost, the measuring stick of PVE gacha, wasnt enough to keep me I dont think Star Rail will. I didnt last long in Genshin either.

I play Epic 7 for the story stuff anyway, so this drought has been pretty rough. I'll be checking out Star Rail when it releases because it has that Hoyo polish and all, but I'm glad to see the QoL updates coming. I'm sure a lot of this time was spent prepping for the China launch as well.

As for the characters, ML Kayron looks kinda boring, but I was not expecting the new ML Karin. And ML HandGuy's new skin looks fantastic.

I am going to at least watch some Honkai to see how it goes but I think if I go anywhere it will be Raid but ive not done it yet just the farm in e7 and SW.

I love Ml Roana, simply because it means more Runway Fighter! Love the idea of fashion x bloodsport.

Also ice cream Luluca looks great.

If you were bored with the static meta they just released a character for the Slime rerun. Benimaru. He is going to change the static meta by just existing. He SEVERELY punishes extra turn characters and thus all the speed leads being used right now.

They also finally released ML Kayron and while people are calling him trash I am having fun with him in static. He helps destroy stall teams very safely so far. And the meta is going to shift that way with Beni on the loose heh.

And I gotta say, as much as I miss the dogs because of their design, I really don't miss having them clogging up my inventory.

I'm gonna regret spending a lot of resources getting Milim if I don't end up getting Benimaru with what's left, aren't I?

Not really. Milim still is in use a lot of places, especially with her anti-stealth shenanigans. Benimaru is fantastic knocking down the meta surrounding like five specific powerful units. He's great, but without those units in the opposition he's kind of just ok.

I'm still playing. Guild is basically dead though. I've been trying to recruit a bit, advertising, dropped the application part and just let people join if they're rank 60 or up. But we're still at like 16 members, only I think 5 or so are active.

Guilds are kind of a mess. They still don't give admins a good way to see who is contributing towards the weekly goals.

We constantly boot folks almost every couple weeks, since we require GW's participation and we only ever get 70% of the guild to do so.

I only kept most of the people in the guild because otherwise we wouldn't be able to do GW. Super dead. A lot of the people aren't even logging in to the game.

It's pretty wild. I don't want to give up the guild, but I feel like I should just for my own sanity. I'm still a casual PVP-hating player, but I do want my participation trophies from the guild!

All my dogs are gone, what is even happening. Suddenly I am not butting up against too many units.

Gear inventory is a disaster still.

Tried to join the guild, but you can't rejoin automagically if you were booted.

Just find one that is active enough to enjoy. Especially with AI here.

How long has it been since you logged in? They did a ton of QoL stuff before the China server launch. Dogs are gone, replaced by flowers. You don’t need to use fodder anymore, just flowers and penguins. You get stigma instead of xp, you get equipment powder from selling equipment (use it like charms). There’s probably a ton more I’m missing.

For gear they added Equipment Score in game. It’s not equal to the old gear score (it’s 26 points higher), but it’s super useful for clearing inventory since you can sort by ES then scrap low stuff.

I still play, but I've definitely been playing a lot less lately. PVP gets frustrating and I'm still stuck on the Zio boss fight to end Chapter 4 so I can't play any of the events in the new chapter. So mainly I've just been doing my dailies and that's it. About the only thing keeping me still playing is the Guild.

Zio was a pain in the ass until I switched to my party to a bunch of 1 burn units and let it take forever. Normal party building with a tank, DPS, healer, and support? Meaningless.

It is a pretty stupid fight.

That guys guide let me 1 shot it. I put it off too but with that build I one shot it. I gave the people gear but it worked great.

This game is still top end gacha. Especially since the community being so toxic keeps the dev from monetizing their game heh. Sadly they shoot down positive changes too. Oh well.
