    DAY ONE

The outsiders ran into the Notosian village, bruised and beaten. "We come..." they barely manage to sputter out. "...we come to warn you of the advance of the Tiger King! RETSEF RUT IS COMING!"

The village elder called together his disparate peoples together. The Aeolians were skeptical, but willing to listen. They did not trust outsiders but knew of the Tiger King by reputation. The Sirrocoans were worried that the village was no longer safe, and was wondering if Retsef Rut had infiltrated the people within with dark, demonic magic. The Khamseens argued amongst themselves, they could not determine if the greater threat was the dread magic that Retsef Rut wielded or the horrible plagues that he sent down to thin out the forces of the people he conquered. They did however, agree that both options were bad and that this was just shit luck all around. The Zephists thought that the Khamseens were assholes because they didn't come to Heffling's birthday party, though they quickly realized more important things were at stake.

Evil lurks among you, the agents of the plague creep among your people.

ORDERS ARE DUE ONE HOUR BEFORE VOTE CLOSES. VOTE CLOSES AT 8 PM Central Each Night.

    Plague mechanic:
Whoever gets second place in voting will be infected with the plague. They will die of the plague the following day, but before they die they can choose who to infect. They do this by either PMing me their orders or by publicly posting in the thread with the format !Patsy. This cannot be changed once decided and whoever they choose first will be infected. Mafia members infected will die but cannot kill with the plague. After the mafia person dies, the person who gets second place in voting will again be plagued.

Ties punish the faction creating the tie.

Being but a humble Sirrocoan, I move that we immediately blame the person in power for all of this until we get some answers!

(NOTE: GAMEWISE THE FACTIONS DO NOT MATTER AND ARE FOR FLAVOR, DO NOT INFER FROM FACTIONS)
I'm taking this to mean there ISN'T a mafia in every faction and it's all random. Would be funny if one faction was just 80% mafia.

I move that we immediately resume McRib production to sate Retsef Rut's terrible hunger. All opposed?

  • LucedesLucedes Registered User regular
the mcrib is, itself, somehow more terrible than either the dread magic or the plague, but not both.

  • LucedesLucedes Registered User regular
anyway I’m grudge voting kime[/b], which is… definitely a first.

It would appear so? Though Plaguey McPlaguerson could just PM it as a secret choice

A plague mechanic? In this economy?

Sorry Auralynx but the McRib is an abomination that I wouldn't even wish on my worst enemies.

My own guess, with the themes focus on tribes and outsiders, is that Munkus is doing something like a Pathologic Phalla

    Clarification denied.

EDIT: To make sure everyone is aware, there is a rules annotation in the second post. Those are the rules I deem are necessary to make public. Otherwise, you don't get clarifications.

Probably if you pass up the choice it’d go to the second place voted - but on the off chance that it doesn’t - I’m pro don’t spread and have fewer deaths (unless you’re like super duper suspicious of someone, then I’m pro making that public knowledge).

I’m kind of wondering if the plague is a vig replacement since the village can target with it but the mafia cannot, but I guess we’ll find out after night 1.

That'll teach me to quickly skim over stiff again *shrug*

    Adds to Kime list
    - Mafia when voting day 1 for newbies to give cover for jumping off

Also sounds like I can kill my faction by creating ties, which sounds tempting.

    Just grudge things

The idea that your vote is a moral statement about you or who you vote for is some backwards ass libertarian nonsense. Your vote is about society. Vote to protect the vulnerable.

I vote for JPants, as I understand they were the one primarily responsible for The Great Snub. Yes, there are more important things going on, but where would we be without nonsensical family grudges, I ask you?

Is that a grudge vote from a previous game or referencing fluff in this game I haven’t read yet?

I should clarify that’s to elvenshae, didn’t realize I had another vote

And voting ends in about 45 minutes.

Ed: oh, right. Sorry - day 1 doesn’t end until Monday night. I’d missed that.
