Behind the Bastards sounds interesting but I fear most episodes will conclude with me getting angry at injustice and I don't think that's a conducive mood to be immersed in.

I read something probably a half-dozen years ago which said that plastics recycling isn't particularly important, because landfills have massively improved since the 70s and so the sheer volume of nondegradable waste isn't really a problem
Also that glass recycling is iffy because the recycled product ends up too fragile from impurities to use in most commercial applications (when reforged--does not apply to rinsing and relabelling bottles which works just fine).
But that aluminum recycling is actually pretty great
Anyway, I have no idea how reliable that info was even then. I'd be curious to see something reputable and up-to-date on the economics and environmental impacts of recycling/not recycling
I just imagine the 3 different products industries all disseminating misinformation about which is recyclable and which isn't.

Aluminum you can just melt down and make other aluminum things out of, because aluminum is great. Plastic, you can recycle, but only into lower grade plastics. Like you're not going to recycle a bunch of clear water bottles into the same clear water bottles. You'll recycle them into a bench. Or trash cans. If you could downstream plastic recycling where products made from lower quality plastics are all made from recycled higher quality plastics it would be beneficial.
I finally got to 60 int to use the (elden ring spell spoiler):

I popped out of the bestial sanctum, put down the magic dirt spell to buff myself, sipped my flask with the +magic damage and -fp cost things, and beamed the bad guy who stands out front
and instead of him melting, again as seen in the memes, he took 25% of his health in dmg, walked around my beam and killed me
what is the point of all this int ;_;

So that's been one of my biggest new years resolutions, and most of what you're saying I've found to be the case.
With glass though, people focus too much on making a new bottle out of recycled glass vs just making playground or construction sand instead, imo.
Aluminum is S tier when it comes to recycling. That shit is great.
I recycle my glass, aluminum, paper, and compost (food) here at the farm, and I take my plastic to the local recycling center, except for HDPE (2), which I can use so I keep that as well.
What no one tells you is the VAST amount of fucking trash bags full of empty bottles and shit you'll have till you find a place for them. However since January I have managed, between the wife and I, to only produce 1-2 bags of trash a week for the garbage man.
are YOU on the beer list?

There are a lot more damage buffs for that, which you will need in order to tackle late-game content.

Also The West Wing Thing if you want to ruin your opinion on Aaron Sorkin.
Do people still feel positively about Aaron Sorkin?
i mean i still really enjoy the banter even if his politics aren't where i want them to be
like, i think that he writes snappy dialogue which isn't particularly natural but is entertaining.

I think:
I haven't tried this, but I think if you pop Determination on a dagger or some other light weapon in your off-hand, the 60% damage boost/10 seconds will apply to the spell. It does this for other spells. The alternative for off-hand buffing is the 20% damage boost from the Jellyfish shield's special skill (which is a lot less and requires 20 STR to wield).
But yeah, when I use that spell to one-shot a boss, I also have Azur's hat (after you complete Sellen's questline, go back to Azur's statue) and use Lusat's staff (in Raya Lucaria... 50% increase in FP costs for 10% damage increas). The reason it can melt faces is because all of these damage buffs are multiplicative.
I have the S staff you get early in the game, idk what to swap to
Take one of the other staffs and upgrade them at the smithy, pretty sure after upgrades several of them will outperform the one you're using right now.
I mean like, probably not "the other 75% of that boss's health bar" outperform, but still.

The US senate passed a bill eliminating time changes and making DST permanent
It still needs to pass the house but it passed with such broad support in the senate it almost certainly will. Effective 2023 to give airlines and broadcasters time to adjust.

Next they need to change the penny. It costs two cents to mint a penny - all they need to do is change One Cent to Two Cents on the engraving and the economy will be saved.
