Oh man, this King's Quest playthrough by Brian and Danny was exactly what I needed. It has such different energy than when Arin's on.
Just, very chill, very relaxed vibes. And Brian is SUPER INTO solving the puzzles and is so earnest about it that it sustains me.
I hope they do more adventure games with these two.
Way better than the Gabriel Knight series already.
What was wrong with the Gabriel Knight playthrough? I thought it was pretty entertaining.
Anyway, today I learned that not only is Danny on a quest to visit all Stegosaurus skeletons, he has a website chronicling it!
In my opinion having Brian there made it immensely more enjoyable experience. I dunno. Hearing them bounce jokes off each other and talk was a great experience. Gabriel Knight playthrough only lasted about 15 minutes for me.
Oof yeah I'm going to have to pass on the series. Lots and lots of really bad accents going on and the game isn't all that interesting beyond the premise lol
The last couple weeks of Grump episodes have been pretty much all amazing and I’m pretty much totally back on board with them.
I just hope they don’t start another Danganrnoa in the meantime. They can be fun but Omg I am so over those super long series (I’m aware I’m probably in the minority on that particular series)
Oh my god their obsession with "uWu" this past few episodes is so grating to me. I know it's probably the same day so it just hits hard when every fucking episode they're making the same joke.
I thought Dan’s attitude toward losing was more grating. But apparently people love his streak of bad luck in Wheel of Fortune, so he’s just playing it up now.
Today's Power Wash episode had an extended bit, the "really adult Barbie dolls" sequence, that could have worked as a "Hey Billy?" joke, but it honestly had me cracking up more than anything the Grumps did in a while.
You know what? Nanowrimo's cancelled on account of the world is stupid.

That whole thing was hilarious!

I've been catching up on other episodes. The second wheel of fortune with the 'Vanna tells you how good you are at Wheel of Fortune JOI' was fucking hilarious.
I have this game, and the thing they're not showing you, presumably to avoid potential copyright problems, is that at the end, the winning idol sings their own individual j-pop song over the credits.
It has that dirty cassette tape in cheap tape deck feel to it that I’m really familiar with. Still gives it creepy vibes since nothing really sounds like that now, except on purpose.

The issue is that it's stuck in my head right now. Just over and over again...
In a rare bit of role-reversal, in the second video Danny skips the tutorial against Arin's protests, with predictable consequences. My favorite part was probably where you could hear Ally audibly losing her shit in the background.
I skipped the Jack septiceye videos because I really don't enjoy him as a guest on the show. So I'm watching the barista one and holy shit it's killing me inside.
I just started playing Fall Guys a few months ago after it went free to play. I did okay, for the most part, even getting a crown on my first round. But I ran into more problems over time, and there are lot of games I completely suck at. Wall Guys, Fruit Shoot, etc. I sometimes find it a bit frustrating.
So, anyway, in TODAY'S episode of Game Grumps...

I won the first fall guys I ever played and decided to retire on a high point
Humor can be dissected as a frog can, but dies in the process.
Arin tweeted something like "what's all this Hive nonsense? A minute ago we were going to Mastodon." Which caused Elon Musk to respond which now his entire profile is full of alt right chuds. Just a bit a warning.

The Internet Cafe episodes were also strangely entertaining for some reason.
"Oh there's my business partner!"
*Guy fumbles around clearly drunk*
Original for reference:
Is the game really hard to control or is Arin that bad? The first two fights in the game he's basically standing there doing nothing.
In which you know what's going to happen and it's incredible anyways.

EVERYBODY WANTS TO SIT IN THE BIG CHAIR, MEG!
God their thumbnails are the worst now.
I disagree.
Maybe in the gaming channels it has to be awful but at least I know what type of video RLM posts and what movie they are talking about.
At least the Grumps can get people in the door...

Haven't watched any Ghoul Grumps this year, too busy. But this is nice.
They’ve been doing this most of the month. All of the recent videos have it.
Ah yeah I have no idea what games they've been playing so I've kind of skipped them. It was just so jarring to cut from the end of a bit to their ad.
So, anyway, in TODAY'S episode of Game Grumps...
I was extremely surprised when it started playing.
