Create a comicbook in a day

Hi, guys,



Tomorrow, monday, I´m gonna make an experiment I´ve been thinking about for YEARS.

I wanna pull one of those make a comic book 22 pages/day marathon thingies.

Never done any of those and to be honest, I don´t know if I even can.
My record speed to this day was 11 sketched pages in 24 hours.



Only thing I know is I want to see if I can. tell a 22-page story in 24 hours. And since this is just a pretext to have fun, I´m gonna be drawing what i like best: A humongously awesome superheroine kicking some serious derrière.



If there´s anything you´d like to see in there, like maybe a gorilla dressed in a kilt playing hopscotch, well, now´s the time to yell.

Anyway, still totally rad. You go for it, man.

I suggest you use lots of kirby dots.

Please, please incorporate a musician who uses music to fight evil. Have him(or her) play the viola, as that instrument is the window into the soul.
IE those musicians in Kung Fu Hustle, who used that instrument to throw aural daggers that cut people in half.
If you did this you would be my hero, and I'll compose the music when you turn it into a movie.

Like the characters from Sonic Underground! Sonic wailed on his guitar to destroy Robotnik, the green guy has drums, and the pink one had a keyboard I think. When they started rocking out really hard their instruments would shoot lasers and break large masses of stone in half.

Also, on the movie Kung Fu Hustle, the assassins (one of whom was blind) used a chinese piano to create phantastmic weapons (Single, ballistic trajectory and invisible to the naked eye), including swords, invisible fists, and just plain explosive power.

Was very cool.

Okay, monday has arrived and it´s time to get this party started.

First, here´s a collection of all the suggestions I received across the web:

1) a gorilla in a kilt jumping rope

2) FIRE!!

3) Superheroine vs. Sho' nuff of The Last Dragon.

4) Misty Knight, Colleen Wong, Black Cat and Tarantula fighting a giant tentacle monster

5) Captain Planet as an old homeless sage-type dude, drinking his life away and constantly muttering nonsense such as "the power is YOURS!"

6) 50's sci-fi

7) black on black violence

8) the gorilla in the kilt should be doing something EEEVILLLL

9) a villainess

10) A moustache twirling villain.

12) A billboard that says "Daffy Duck is the guru of all wisdom"

13) a horse riding canadian mountie named Dudley

14) someone use a potato as a projectile weapon

21) superheroine beating up some kind of mythic, medusa-like bad girl... all fangs, sharp finger nails and writhing hair

22) Throw in a succubus or two

24) Jewish Pirates. Neurotic New York type jews, like Woody Allen. But they're pirates

25) a Shoryuken (the flaming uppercut from the Street Fighter series)

26) a norse-inspired supervillain/hero

27) zombies riding on dinossaurs

As for the superheroine, these were the suggestions:

Black haired, Asian (Lucy Liu style with the sleek long black hair).
Make her something of a 'gadget person'

Red haired Asian with freckles.

Thigh high boots and sashes

It´s 8:00 am right now.
I´m gonna catch me some ZZs, digest the ideas in my sleep and we´ll meet at 16:40 pm GMT with the first page upload.

Let the insanity begin.

Yes, I know romans took pride in their clean hairless faces,the gladius was a stabbing weapon and gladiatrixes fought topless but let´s call it artistic licensing,.

i really like the splash page man.
and the top panel of the other page "ouch" "thats no way..." is really nice! those angles can look really akward if not handled well.

I´m just using a mechanical pencil with a 0.5 HB mine.

I´m not being coy.
The only reason why I haven´t shown her face yet is because I haven´t come up with one.
I wanted to use the asian brunette/redheaded Lucy Liu lookalike as originally suggested but I can´t for the life of me see an asian gladiatrix in ancient imperial Rome.
