Apparently Castillo is set to pitch against the yankees on tuesday, so right into the fire.
If he pitches well and they win that’ll be a sick double whammy.
Well it'll be snapping the 6 game losing skid by that point so it'd be nice.
I was gonna make a comment about how it could only possibly be a 5 game losing skid at that point, but then Abraham Toro slapped a 9th inning 2-out 2-run double to get them the win.
Of course, since the Astros literally cannot stop hitting the Mariners with baseballs they may have injured JRod's wrist. So that would make it very not worth it.

Jesus swear to god if they hurt J Rod the fucking MLB needs to do something. Baseball is more interesting when the good players are playing and not when fuckers can just bean their way to victory.
Dipoto needs to get Joe Kelly from the White Sox he knows how to handle the Astros.
I would like some money because these are artisanal nuggets of wisdom philistine.
I also saw the braves broke with the Robinson Cano experiment. So welcome back to Seattle Robbie. (this hasn't happened yet but you know it will YOU KNOW IT!)

Mariners are still playing fine, they just have inconsistent starting pitching and their two best hitters + best utility player are out right now.
They haven't fallen nearly as far as the Red Sox.
They're losing more games then they are winning, and injuries are mounting, with the pitching getting worse it seems like everyday. Like middle month they'll be out of the wild card contention completely.

They're losing more games than they're winning against the two best teams in the league, who are the best in the league by a considerable margin. If they get clowned by the Angels you can worry about the panic button, but they've got one series left against the Yankees after this and the rest of their schedule is pretty easy apart from three games in Atlanta, and a two game stretch against the Padres.

They almost split the series with the Astros despite putting out a AAA lineup in the last game and they're five innings into their first game against the Yankees. They're still 4-7 since the ASB. "They're bad now" is peak selective thinking.
And yeah, they have the easiest SoS in the league from here on out. They're not taking the division, obviously, but they're in a really solid spot to get a WC series.
(They also had the hardest SoS up to the point where they went on their pre-ASB run.)
I guarantee you they'll lose like 10 of 40 going forward. This team looks used up and their injury woes aren't letting up. Like when is hanniger coming back never?

They're gonna go 30-10?? shiiiit maybe they will win the division.
Haniger's killing it in rehab right now. Should be back within a week? Julio's just on a 10-day stint, they didn't find any structural damage. Haggerty won't be out long. Ty France is the worrying one.
And with Castillo they have six average-at-worst pitchers, which is a pretty good spot to be in to keep the rotation healthy finishing up the season. They're also pretty deep in the dugout.

Injuries aren't dominos.
Bad teams whine about strength of schedule, good teams don't have Jared Kelennic starting in center.

uhhh yeah I'm in. Virtual handshake?
I'm pretty sure our politics are close enough that that everyone wins either way.
That's my line of thinking, I'd love to give a 150 to a charity of your choice but I know I won't have to.
