    I'm losing all of my childhood comedian influences. It's really some kind of bullshit and I think standup comedy might be alive and well but things feel a little less funny for a while after the recent deaths in the industry.

    Guy was a legend for his Hollywood Squares "You fool!" run. It still cracks me up even having seen it a hundred times.

    Gilbert, much like Norm, was one of the rare breed that only did shit on their own terms. I was never a big fan of Howard Stern, but he was frequently on in the office I worked at in college and every time Gilbert was on it was incredible. He pioneered great shitposting well before their was an internet for them.

    I will always remember Gilbert Gottfried as that guy who, as a kid, I thought was Walter Cronkite for the longest time, because he'd made a guest appearance on a sitcom where he claimed to be him.*
