Number One
With a howl the muscles of the beastly warrior balloon until they become like some kind of marsupial headed gorilla! The spear in their hand as a toothpick as they charge towards Maggie!
Geth roll 1d20+5 for Berserker Stab
Geth roll 1d12+3 for Crazy Damage
—
Number Two
Caught between Ryder and Sug, they disengage and beat their fist to their chest. They compose themselves.
Geth roll 1d10+3 for Hit Points
—
Number Four
Loosing all sense of style, they try to bite Lyn’s head off and follow it up a slap from the blunt end of their halberd.
Geth roll 1d20+5 for Bite
Geth roll 1d20+5 for Blunt End
Geth roll 1d8 for Bite Damage
Geth roll 1d6+3 for Blunt End Damage

Number Five
Looking to take down Lyn to thin your numbers, the last one attempts a death roll!
Geth roll 1d20+2 for Death Roll
Make a contested grappling check, or face not just being grappled, but taking 3 damage!
Ryder calls out to the beastfolk that just bit at Lyn, "Looks like somebody needs to go back to momma's pouch!" Ryder cringes a little bit at that, feeling bad for making such an insensitive comment. Gotta make sure to apologize later. Ryder gets ready in case the beastfolk takes the bait to engage him.
Trying to enrage number 4 to attack me, will ready an action to pull, like, a bull fighter maneuver and flip over it when it comes to attack and try and make it fall off the pillar. Dream scenario is that with the momentum they fall straight into the scorpion pit, but I'll take having them fall off.
Geth roll 1d20+3 for Taunting (Persuasion)
If it takes the bait, I'll probably use my inspiration on the acrobatics roll.
Maggie's eyes go wide as Number One goes into a rage. As they charge, she casts a shield to ward off the blow. "No need to get angry." She gives One another round of magic missiles for his trouble, this time with an extra missile.
As a reaction, Maggie casts Shield, raising her AC to 21. She casts heightened Magic Missle at 2nd level.
Sug rubs his knee where the board struck him. "Ah, still don't have the hang of that thing. Ah well, back to the usual I guess."
He flings out a star arrow at the warrior who had just back away, then raises his hands to form a second glittering bolt, which he shoots at the warrior as well.
Star arrow, then Guiding Bolt. If Bolt hits, next attack against #2 has advantage.

Number One
Slavering, veins visibly pumping, the beast thrashes with their spear at Maggie! They use up every once of their energy to attack over and over again!

Number Two
Bloodied, the beastfolk throws their weapon down.
“How’s about me and you finish our fight the old fashioned way?”
They put up their dukes! They ready an unarmed strike, with the trigger being you making an unarmed strike against them.
The adoration of the crowd and respect of their tribe if you take them on unarmed!
—
Number Four
Lost to the frenzy, they try to get another bite in on Lyn as she’s hurled from the pillar by the beastfolk grappling her!
Then they turn to Ryder and screams bloody murder! Ryder! Make a Wisdom saving throw! DC 14. Fail and Four is the only target you can attack on your next turn.
Next, they bat Ryder’s weapon right out of his hands… Unless you can do a Dex save higher than 26.
Despite this amazing display, you sense they’ve given there all in this moment. They’re panting like Hell.
Geth roll 1d20+5 for Bite
Geth roll 1d20+5 for Blunt End
Geth roll 1d20+1d8 for Disarming Strike
Forgot to do the damage rolls here, but they missed anyway.

Number Five
With Lyn held tight, Five leaps from the pillar and onto a jump pad!
Lyn! You’re bounced all over the arena, the world briefly turning upside down as your stomach churns! You land hard to the north-west.
As a reaction, I'd like to have Lyn cast Feather Fall to avoid taking damage from bouncing around. If it's cast on just herself and not the beastman, maybe she can drift away?
As a reaction, I'd like to have Lyn cast Feather Fall to avoid taking damage from bouncing around. If it's cast on just herself and not the beastman, maybe she can drift away?
Let’s rewind time!
As the pair hit the pad and launch into the air, Lyn utilise the ancient art of becoming as light as air. Her foe grips onto her as they slowly spin and then fall lightly to the ground.
I'd like to trigger my readied action to flip over the beastfolk. Perhaps getting a bonus to shoving them off the pillar on my actual turn. I can't beat a 26 with my Dex save, but I'll try for a nat 20 in case that does something.
Geth roll 1d20+6 for Acrobatics
Geth roll 1d20+4 for Dex Save
Ryder goes to flip over the beastfolk as they grab hold of his bow. "That's... a strong grip!" Ryder says as he's forced to let go of his weapon. He finishes his acrobatic stunt on the side of the beastfolk, who now faces the ledge of the pillar.
I'll see how that reaction plays out before taking my turn

You flip over the beastfolk as you both share a grip on your weapon. You release it as the bow lines up with their nose, pinging it back into their face! With a yowl they fall prone at Cyr’s feet!
Lyn lands on top of the beastman with a grunt. "My turn." She rolled across the battlefield, dragging her opponent with her before getting in one good kick to the gut. Which just happened to propel them into the nearby pit of scorpions.
Moving towards the pit, moving grappled enemy over the pit, and ending the grapple. Also there's an unarmed attack in there.
Geth, roll 1d20+5 for Kick
Geth, roll 1d4+3 for Damage
"Hey, sorry about the 'momma's pouch' thing, that was super uncool. You all seem really great but," Ryder pulls out his short sword, "we're here to win this. So..." Ryder drives the short sword down into the prone beastfolk.
Attacking number 4 with short sword.
Geth roll 2d20k1+6 for Short Sword Attack

One of your opponent’s stays standing, paw an inch from Sug’s face. They dutifully relent.
They’re cheery in defeat, “Good sport giving a go at boxing. Look around, everyone saw that.”
Sug is now a fan favourite! The crowd boosts your AC by 1 for the first round of the next match.
Cyr is now an underdog! You have an extra action you can take once during the next match!
Lyn is now the heel! Everyone boos you! You can attempt to frighten one target as a bonus action once during the next match. The target must succeed on a Wisdom saving throw or move away from you on their next turn!
A dozen medics are swift to leap into the arena and pick up the other team. One druid plays a flute that disperses the scorpions.
You hear are few boos, but mostly you’re deafened by the roars of “Claymore!”, the sound of horns and drums and gouts of flame breathed by fire spitters that ride in on frightful giant tarantulas. That’s the entertainment between matches it would appear.
Cyr sits down hard, head between his knees. Useless! He felt absolutely useless in that fight! He makes a promise to himself that he's going to hit hard and fast next time.
“Eh, well I’ll tell you what. If them deep dwarves win not only will they run our food industry, they’ll be in charge of emergency call outs like what you guys are now. Makes you think, right?”
Since this is a tournament, there must have been, or there will be, matches the other teams are in. Ryder would try to watch another match to get inkling of what the other teams can do or, if no match is on, ask around the spectators for what they saw.
"Hey team, I kinda went all out in that fight. I'm going to be less potent moving forward if we only get short breaks between rounds. Looks like it's going to be mostly chill touches and fire bolts for me. I'll be relying on you all until we get a night's rest. Hopefully the other teams will have the same problems with their spell casters."

Funny you should say because ‘in a minute’ a match between the warlocks and the deep dwarves is going to start and you guys can watch. I’ve got some rules cooked up where you can influence the results. It’ll just be a quick two rounds.
"It's cool Maggie." Sug replies back "I think everyone else probably has the same challenge. I held back on the spell side a little because you were all doing so well, so we can be a little more careful on what we fling out."
"If I remember right, though, I think maybe Warlocks have it a bit easier? I feel like that's a thing I've heard, Warlocks are able to regen some spell power easier with shorter rests. Let's maybe hope they lose this next match."
Ryder goes to watch the next match, finding a seat further back 1) because his eyesight is great and 2) he can get a big picture view of how the teams operate.
Ryder has gotten an assortment of some local snacks, a bag of fried leafy greens, crunchy and dusted with spices and various candied fruits. If any of the other team members watches with him, Ryder freely offers to share his acquired snackage.
"Oh shoot. I already almost forgot." Sug pulls the group together and lowers his voice. "The kanga-dude I was facing off against told me that if the Deep Dwarves win this, they'll run this place's food industry plus they'll take over being the emergency service like Claymore is doing right now. Maggie, that seems like something you might want to report back to base."
"And then...maybe we do want those Warlocks to win."

Time for a short rest.
Sug! Ask your new pal one question and receive an honest answer.
Feel free to snoop around… perhaps look over the other teams you know of?
"Say," he continues, "Any of the other teams you find something nasty out about? Any secrets you might share to help me make a good showing?"
“Eh, well I’ll tell you what. If them deep dwarves win not only will they run our food industry, they’ll be in charge of emergency call outs like what you guys are now. Makes you think, right?”
