just finished the symbiote invasion. Beat it by a day, huzzah! Collection level 570, so far i've pulled a Mordo, an Invisible woman and a Red skull from my caches. and some bars, credits and boosters, but it's cards or bust ><
Note Yondu removes, he doesn't destroy. So wolverine's and sabretooth's ability don't activate. Found this out the hard way.
Also, just got Aero (5/8, move all enemy cards to this location), seems promising and the first card I have that messes with your opponents board position, but not sure yet what deck to try it out in.

Hmmm, you can Snap after queuing up the retreat. Or at least the UI implies the Snap goes through. Worth trying if you’re running away anyway. Might scare the opponent into a mutual retreat.

It definitely doesn't, you can't retreat the turn you snap. Okay I haven't tested it because mutual retreats basically never happen, but I've seen a lot of fake snaps because I have the habit of remembering to snap right after I end turn.

I dunno.

Anyway, someone did this to me:
Yes, you won center, but was it worth the minutes long animation spam?
Probably also yes.
I have to admit i did this once... BUT! i knew for a fact it was the only way I would win the game. I felt really bad about it.
apparently there's an exodia combo in pool 3 with onslaught/mystique/wong/an on reveal wincon like gambit. it it takes like 5 minutes to go through it all
What I'm saying is I guarantee you that's just the screen telling you you snapped without it actually going through. I assume the logic was it's fun to see snap so it doesn't enforce you not clicking it.

Got Mr Negative and started messing around with that. It's got a nice chaos energy to it. Seems to get a lot of snaps from opponents because you often don't do a whole lot in the first three turns but then have a big flip at the end. Have already had three matches with an turn three snap from opponent and a turn five or six retreat from them. Being behind going into the last turn is also helpful for those Shang Chi drops. So their six cards are revealed before he goes off.
Is there any particular reason not to snap early? I feel like as long as you're winning roughly 50% of your games, snapping only shortens the amount of games to climb the rank ladder

Reasons I don't snap early:
- A revealed location is bad for my deck
- My opening hand is bad
- My opponent had a strong start

If you have a strong draw and favorable first location you're probably better off waiting to try to draw more cubes out of your opponent. The equivalent of "slow playing" a hand in poker. Snapping early will cause a player in a weak position to retreat and you'll only get 1 cube instead of the 2 you'd get from a full game win with no snaps. It also leaves open the possibility that they'll snap later allowing you to snap back. Or that you wait until turn 5 and snap and have them "throwing good money after bad" by staying in and risking the extra cubes because they feel committed at that point and want to see how the final turn plays out.
If you have a weak draw or the first location favors a popular meta deck that you're not playing, why would you want to snap early? You're just increasing your expected loss at that point. Wait and see and only snap if things look better later.
Otherwise if you win roughly 50% of your games, go ahead and snap early I guess?
snapping is the equivalent of going "all in" in poker and it's not done immediately every game for basically all the same reasons - you can only do it once and you have more knowledge still to be gained, but it will just force out some players who think its not fun to play into

Fair enough, and admittedly I don't snap early for exactly the same reasons, but that happens only maybe 10% of the time, otherwise I find that more often than not, snapping early doesn't force the opponent to retreat nearly as often as say snapping on turn 5 does. So as long as you're breaking even or ahead in your win rate, snapping early is usually the best play (though admittedly I have no statistics and all of this is colored by my bias/is anecdotal).

I never back out from a turn 1 snap because I don't know what my position is. There's still two locations to be revealed and a lot of cards to be drawn. Plus I have counters in my deck for lots of popular decks so I'm not worried if somebody feels cocky out the gate. A turn 5 snap I have a pretty good idea if I'm losing or not so it's just a reminder to back out instead of snapping back.
Playing with Warpath is so weird. It's definitely the right card for my Spectrum Onslaught deck but I'm not used to completely bailing on a location like that. I tried Mystique but it's too awkward, copying Iron Man is obviously sick but even when I could just playing my 6s was better. Also screenshot time
I am so mad Iceman ruined the best fucking Klaw ever. There were so many other cards in my hand
Wait, playing Klaw for 6 instead of Onslaught would have won the game, right?
21 at the BS, and 40+ and NY?
It would have, but that would be a tough call to make. If you're pretty sure Spectrum is coming then it makes sense, but anything with more than 5 power going down there instead wins Bar Sinister and the game for the opponent if you do play Klaw.

Ok people were getting pretty confident with their snaps so managed to hit 70 before cutoff.
Chibi Korg, I'll take it.
out of 16 bonus caches i got 1 variant (baby angela very cute). I don't know how that compares to rate, but eh it's fine for free I guess.
I opened 30 bonus caches and got only 1 variant, so its about right for the rate

Extreme impatience seems to be the only reason.
i think it's literally just a time saver to hit retreat now.
