BREAKING: Blizzard Albany, formerly Vicarious Visions, is going public with its unionization efforts. It has filed for a union election with the National Labor Relations Board. Management did not voluntarily recognize the union last Thursday. Story:
An unreleased video of the new work "Ryu ga Gotoku 8" is shown on YouTube by fighter Mikuru Asakura. Mikuru Asakura will also appear in the game!
Before the detailed announcement of "Ryu ga Gotoku 8", the video was released in an unusual form. In the video, there are also numbers and appearances that look like Adachi-san. Kasuga Ichiban is not Afro, but his hair tied behind him !? https://famitsu.com/news/202207/19269070.html

I had absolutely no idea we had a Blizzard office in this town. I should check to see if I've been acquired by Blizzard at this point.

Just like... try to say something about Hong Kong in a public space, and see what happens. Might be the fastest way to check.

yeah, I used to do volunteer testing there back when I was in high school. I thought about applying there after the Tony Hawk 1+2 remake because I thought maybe they'd be working on another one and being able to work on that and not have to move anywhere would be sick, and then they got merged with Blizzard
The original VV founders (the Bala brothers) are still around, they founded Velan Studios in Troy, they're the folks behind Knockout City and Mario Kart: Home Circuit
I've played the first 10 minutes of Stray. I already love it.
The very first interaction I did was
pounce on another cat's tail and then we wrassled
You press B to vocalise and it makes all different chirps and meows and squeaks. It's too fucking cute.
Also regarding the Cat Harm some people were worried about, I just encountered the first enemies and let myself get caught to see what happened. They jump on you and hold on, and if you don't get free the cat just falls down on its side and you get a prompt to retry. It doesn't make any noise or even have any animation like it's distressed.
The enemies themselves are also pretty cute squeaky blob things.
Spoilers for first like 5 minutes of the game
At the end of the start the cat falls down a big drop, and when it gets up its limping and looks hurt, but it only lasts for a minute and it just goes back to normal. Again nothing graphic and no noises of pain or anything.
The Multiversus early beta release which rolls into the full release dropped today.
Played a few rounds between meetings and it's still amazing.
I've left my twitch stream just sitting at the main menu. If you want to idle for an hour you'll get a code apparently through twitch drops. natethedecent is my handle.
They added Iron Giant and he's basically 4 times bigger than most characters. Balance across characters is amazing throughout the roster. This game is up there with smash so far.

The above trailer offers a quick glimpse of what to expect from Into the Breach. It's a turn-based strategy game in the same vein as Advance Wars, Final Fantasy Tactics, and X-Com. Seeing that this is an indie affair, you get pixel graphics that are indeed fitting on a mobile device, making the latest Netflix Games release a must-play for all of you strategy fans out there, which is why it's sad to see the game struggling upon launch.
Not only do my Neftlix credentials not work when trying to sign in to Into the Breach, thanks to this error, if you try to log in too many times, you'll get locked out, which sure adds insult to injury. So even though the Play Store listing is live, it would appear Netflix is struggling to get a handle on its account system, which you'd think the company would have squared away, seeing that an account log-in is very much essential to a working game when they are required by Netflix just to play.
So yes, Into the Breach is technically here, something to celebrate, but even though it's considered one of the best indie strategy games out there, Netflix Games clearly needs to do a better job ensuring its launches go smoother. While I'm sure this error will be eventually fixed, this isn't the first time Netflix has struggled with a game release on the Play Store. Still, if you'd like to install Into the Breach in preparation for when Netflix gets around to ensuring the game works, you can snag the download from the Play Store widget below..

Cough, from the Intellivision_Amico Reddit. A hopeful soul trying to rescue some cash from their unfortunate choice? Or a last-ditch effort to raise some capital?
if im not mistaken, these boxes only contain like some collectible qr code thing
so these are physical editions of games that will never exist, even though that's why people champion physical games...brilliant 🤣
tried out a bunch of weapons and was scared and confused
went back the hammer and returned to the bonking, as is natural and right
I have fun experimenting with all the different weapons but then I see big bonk numbers and it feels right.
Every time I start a new MonHun I tell myself that this time is gonna be the time I play something new. This time I'm gonna learn charge blade or switch axe.
30 mins later I'm back to the greatsword. Too addicted to landing those level 3 charges.
Huh, there is something surreal about one of the first story events in this gacha game being one of the gacha characters lecturing the player character about… blowing too much money on a fictional gacha game.

It was damned good, if Randolph's description is accurate. Hastings quickly ran over Blockbuster's strengths and then noted that there were areas where it could benefit from Netflix's market position and expertise. "We should join forces," he said. "We will run the online part of the combined business. You will focus on the stores. We will find the synergies that come from the combination, and it will truly be a case of the whole being greater than the sum of its parts."
Antioco's response is probably very high on his list of things-I-wish-I'd-never-said: "The dot-com hysteria is completely overblown." Blockbuster general counsel Ed Stead then explained how the business models of Netflix and just about every other online business were not sustainable and would never make money. The Netflix execs debated this point with him for a while, then Stead cut to the chase: "If we were to buy you, what were you thinking? I mean, a number."
"Fifty million," Hastings said.
Randolph writes that he'd been closely watching Antioco during this conversation. Throughout, the Blockbuster CEO appeared as a polished professional, leaning in and nodding and giving every indication of someone who was listening attentively. Now Randolph observed as an odd expression crossed Antioco's face, turning up the corner of his mouth. It lasted only a moment, he writes. "But as soon as I saw it, I knew what was happening: John Antioco was struggling not to laugh."
Needless to say, Blockbuster did not accept Netflix's offer or make a serious counter-offer. "The meeting went downhill pretty quickly after that, and it was a long, quiet ride back to the airport," Randolph writes.
honestly I don't think the dot-com fad is going to last
To give them some small amount of credit, wasn't this when Netflix was primarily sending out DVDs? Between that and Blockbuster being a franchise business (so they'd risk owner revolt from corporate directly competing with local stores) the decision is... bad, but less horribly bad.

same but giant bone saxamaphone
i never get to cut anything
Cutting is a lie perpetuated by Big Severe weapons to justify their existence.
I see them chopping at the head like everyone else.
Also that Blockbuster ad suggests jacking it for like 1.5 hours a day which seems... excessive
I think you still have the flexibility to distribute those 1.5 hours throughout the day in whatever way you see fit, so it could just be, like, 3.75 minutes out of every hour, or whatever the math works out to. I mean yeah, you gotta keep on schedule, that's tricky, but ~4 minutes out of 60 doesn't seem like a big ask. You do want to be a gamer, don't you?

I could never get into anything but bows and to some extent the sword and shield.
It was just so satisfying to use the dragon piercer attack to go through a giant monster stem to stern.

To the point that they're a major factor in studios re-editing movies that received that rating to bring it down to an R
But Greatsword will always be my home, and it seems even more rad in Sunbreak, gotta pick that up
oh thank god
it only took a deck with 4x upgraded Talk To The Hand, 2x Scrawls and a lucky Shuriken drop
just in time for me to start playing into the breach on my phone instead
