    I've never heard of anyone being bothered by a duck, most of the other birds have bothered someone at some point but never a duck.

    Like we gotta sit here and deal with things like taxes, laws that we have no input in that bind us regardless, climate change, and whether the McRib is or isn't back.

    But like a duck is just exploring their environment, seeing if there's any bugs or fish or whatever it is they eat, I have no idea. And if things suck? That duck can just leave.

    Right now there's ducks in Canada enjoying the lakes of I wanna say maybe Saskatchewan, and in a month or two they're gonna start heading down to Belize or thereabouts.

    And when a duck does die, it's normally pretty quick.
    A pounce, a moment of "oh shit, I shoulda paid attention to that bush", a snap and then oblivion.

    Not like this dying a little bit inside every day that I'm doing.

    They'd just wander around the parking lots and the road that ran through the complex blocking traffic. Staring down drivers while daring them to hit them.
