I wonder why over the course of evolution the sclera of that duck have turned red. Is it one of those traits that is a mechanical disadvantage for the duck that proves to be a mating advantage? I forget what those are called.
Here is a duck that used to live at the lake by my apartment. He was... leucistic maybe? Lacked a lot of the pigment of the normal mallard ducks. But it was neat to see the blue patch on the wings and some greenish cast on the head where the color comes from the structure and not a pigment.

When I was a kid, my brother's best friend had a pet duck.
This duck's name was Christmas Dinner.
They usually called him Chris, though.
Chris was extremely tender and affectionate toward my brother's friend and his family, but he hated other people.
He would usually hang out on the roof of the house, in a little shaded section under a gable. They knew he liked it there so they would put a tub of water up there for him to hang out in and keep cool.
If Christmas Dinner saw a stranger coming to the house, he would silently wait on the roof until they got up to the front door, then he would drop... not fly, DROP, onto the stranger's head and stand there, flapping his wings and quacking loudly until a family member arrived and told him to fuck off.
Christmas Dinner never actually became a Christmas dinner, he lived to a ripe old age of, I think 16? And when he finally shuffled off, his family mounted a wooden duck on the roof in the shady spot under the gable.
Was driving down the highway, saw two ducks on the side of the road.
One was very obviously hit by a car, and was not moving.
The other was standing next to the first, watching them.
Got to spend the rest of the day with a broken heart

Talk about sense memory, that video basically forced me into a time machine at gun point and I woke up looking through the eyes of 10 year old me lying on the carpet way too close to an old leviathan of a TV.

Look at this duck. What are they thinking about?

i'm thinking about ducks right now
I would suggest that if you could find a couch large enough to permit it, you would enjoy occupying that roost as well.
Fuck sake.
That’s bears.
And certain species of frog.
Ever tried. Ever failed. No matter. Try again. Fail again. Fail better
