Fightful Select was able to confirm that Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler are not slated to be a part of the first version of the AEW Fight Forever game as of this moment.
Sources connected to the game that we heard from wouldn't confirm how far into the game FTR were still included, but Fightful first gained word earlier this summer. It was stated that they at least made it to the "model phase" of the game, however. We're told that FTR were informed of the call, and weren't too happy about it, as being involved in video games usually also comes with a significant bonus. We're told that they were originally set to be included in the game, but by Spring of 2022, had been removed.
Well they've only been in AEW for two years, they were probably cut to make sure two long time veterans of the company got in. Like CM Punk and Adam Cole.
If I had to guess, time was becoming an issue and cuts had to get made. FTR being a team means to I can’t have one without the other, so cutting one cuts the other.

Really driving home Billy Corgan saying you have to separate the 'talent from the person' and everybody replying that doesn't work especially when the person doesn't have talent.
There is a quote from an Interview about the FTR omission from the game the way it reads it sounds like they were worried at first and then they had it explained by higher ups to them and they were OK with it so it pretty much sounds like they’re gonna be on the DLC
I feel like...the tourney finals being on Raw and not at the PPV, and having Iyo and Dakota already booked in a match at the show was probably a sign that it was going to end like this. It is a bit of a bummer that they put some work into making this look like a big deal only for it to end as a tournament that primarily built up Raquel Rodriguez as a singles competitor (a build that was overshadowed by everything else in the tournament), and built up a match the new tag champs aren't involved in at all. Presumably the plan now is to have Sasha & Naomi come back and go after the titles?
Honestly, I remember watching Aliyah on that Breaking Ground show they had, convinced she would never amount to anything, and here she is as a champion on the main roster. That's kinda cool.
Anyway, Sami's current storyline, which seems to be transitioning into a battle between KO and Roman for Sami's soul, is the best current storyline in non-indie wrestling.

It's amazing that they waited this long to start working towards a face turn for Sami, given how good he is at it. I'm kinda glad they waited though, because this is such a good way to do it.
It's also really good that he's got a different relationship with each member of the Bloodline

It was always wild to me that one could go back to the earliest TakeOvers, say "these two will be some of the best heels in the company," and be talking about Sami Zayn and Bayley.
