I watched the Jay White vs Alex Shelley match from Impact and it was good although a little too slow at the beginning like a lot of White's NJPW epics, but it really picked up.
For some reason it took the calling Shelley going for the Shellshock the Blade Runner for me to realize Jay just stole Shelley's finisher.
I dig this thing on NXT where the past champions are showing up to give pep talks to their successors ahead of the Worlds Collide unification matches.
Even Blair Davenport got one from Rhea.
Having that match be a Triple Threat is strange. I can't decide if it's to keep both current champs looking strong when Blair eats the fall or a way to write one out for a call-up* and have the other invoke the old "you didn't beat *me*" on her.
*Could go either way on this. Mandy's revitalizing is basically done, but giving Satomura a run on the big stage would be great.
The most recent best thing about Impact was him challenging for the world title, the go home show was a contract signing for the match, and the champ (Josh Alexander) was talking about how he got into the business a day after seeing a match of his and how big a fan he was
And Shelley just responded “yeah, everybody is, you fucking mark, and I’m kinda sick of everyone else but me becoming a singles face of a company off of it”, handed him the contract after signing it and was like “here’s the autograph you wanted then”
Shooting my shot, MJF returns, CM Punk interferes, MJF new champion and forms a faction with CM Punk.
I want to make some kind of guess like “MJF is the Joker in the ladder match, and wins it” but I don’t know where it goes from there, or what they’d do with Mox that night to support that theory.

MJF's return seemed obvious when I assumed Mox vs. Punk was going to a no contest and rematch at the PPV and then he'd attack Punk after he won, but now I'm not sure how exactly his return goes, unless he returns tonight and challenges Mox which seems like it should be shut down because he doesn't have the wins to be the #1 contender.
I just realized its less then a week to the PPV and we have no idea what the main event is
Qualifiers for the Nick Gage Invitational.
Speaking of which, the Gage vs Moxley match was finally made official. Title vs Career in Atlantic City on... either October 8th or October 9th. Let's see if they actually announce which date prior to tickets going on sale.

You get around that by having him put Mox in a situation where he asks for the match and Mox's character is the type to react in that manner.
Andrew Everett and Jack Evans vs SB KENTo and Shun Skywalker
Colby Corino, Diego Hill, Donnie Ray and Mason Myles vs BK Westbrook, Zoey Skye, Jaden Newman and James Ryan
B-Boy vs Lucky Ali
Sumie Sakai vs KZT
Jungle Kyona vs Maya Yukihi
Violence is Forever (Dominic Garrini and Kevin Ku) vs Workhorsemen (JD Drake and Anthony Henry)
NDA (Chance Rizer and Patrick Scott, with Chris Danger) defend the tag titles against Waves and Curls (Jaylen Brandyn and Traevon Jordan)
Bojack defends the world title against Jay Malachi
Ugh, thinking about Violence is Forever reminded me how good Kevin Ku's match against Matt Makowski was last August and I just can't wait for Makowski to return from injury.
+2

Probably CM Punk will come out and demand a rematch so he gets his big heroic comeback in Chicago, but there's still an outside chance it's Brock Lesnar.
Everyone been talking about ALL OUT and not even acknowledging the fact that AEW's newest golden boy Konosuke Takeshita is in an explosion deathmatch that also involves Atsushi Onita and Shinya Aoki this weekend.

Kevin had a match against Uno last show and it was a blast!!
There are a lot of six man tag matches on this PPV, but almost none of them are real teams that are going to compete for the trios title so its kind of weird.
Essentially Bryan Danielson's whole thing in AEW about wanting to mentor the new version of him is what Shelley was doing on the indies just before and during the pandemic with a lot of the same guys.
Oh yeah! Speaking of Shitty and going along with the theme of important show announcements - ISDub is returning to the states on Black Friday! To their US home turf of Connecticut!
ISDub owns so much and if we were in the New England area this would be an easy buy for us. But my goodness if Mike Rotch has the galaxy brain and legal abilty to get Giant Tiger on this show Dex and I will make the 4 hours drive.

If you bring back a legend you have to consider the hometown.
That's why the main event is Moxley vs. Zbysko

Moxley would be a fool to let Yano have a shot at him.

What the the women doing here!
The main event trios match is going to go for way too long, that's what.
Also Hayter took a gnarly bump on that 'rana.

Amazing that he can cut a promo during Punk's and be just as memorable. That segment fucking ruled.
