    It's basically all about getting gear upgrades, either through rare/perfect rolled uniques or crafted gear that has more or better stats. So if you're getting by with a helmet with 3 useful stats, an upgrade would be one with 4+ useful stats, or 3 tier 1 stats. It doesn't seem like adding +5% increased damage over time multiplier would make a big difference, but those extra bits of damage all add up to turn 200K DPS into millions of DPS.

    Gems that are 20/20% or 21/20% make a huge difference as well as Carpy mentioned. Awakened gems add a ton of power as well, and at this point in the league most of them are pretty cheap, even fully levelled ones.

    Plus, some builds are just starter builds. Sometimes, that means that once you hit low red maps you are pretty much done and it is time to use that build to gather currency to buy better gear for a respec or a new character completely.

    Someone with more endgame experience might have other ideas but that's the general gist. Could also post your character sheet and people might have more specific suggestions.

    Flasks can also a add bunch of damage and survivability, if you're not getting high uptime on them that might be an easier spot to make gains.

    Also, Mageblood sells for around 190 divine on standard, so you've got enough to buy pretty much anything you need if you wanted to part with it.

    I do not want to part with it. It lets me faceroll things instead of hammering my flasks (even though I'd had a nice set of instilled/automated ones going).

    I mean yea adding stats, multipliers and end game crafted items (usually), end game clusters and other jewels (watchers, historicals, etc) and others is significant as a whole.

    All the pieces you have combined in your build are a combination of dmg increases. Increasing the dmg of one of those pieces by a % spread out over all the interactions will amount to a large increase.

    Also worth noting, some builds have oddball things that will completely brick their damage if you don't know about them or don't follow the guide to the letter. For example, the explosive arrow ballista build has it's damage tanked if you have any flat fire damage, no flat cold or lightning damage or any pierce in the build. Any of those things are non-intuitive and depend on the skill used and understanding all of the skill tree notables used.

    I probably could be, I just haven't yet? I'm generally risk averse in games, so I'm probably doing stuff way below my pay grade. I'm not really struggling (with the Elementalist), I was more idly wondering how much worse the maps are going to get because I don't think I'll eke out too much more power here, gear-wise:

    In my experience (I'm not particularly good at this game, I've just playing for a while), one of the best things for helping with getting a little more gear progression is Tier 1 resist rolls. It vastly reduces the number of items that need to have resists rolled on them, which means you can dedicate other pieces to straight damage. At that point it also becomes a game of "what pieces can roll the damage stats I want", and try and find perfect resists/EHP stats on items that have less damage mods available, so you can use more of your affixes on damage stats where you can actually get multiple damage affixes, if that makes sense? (Also, are you playing HC?)

    The main thing about the template which would scare me off is it is almost all uniques, so while it is cheap and easy to assemble with trade, there is no room to improve it once you get the one or two stats that matter to you up to max. Uniques do have some very powerful abilities which can chain off of skills or passive abilities, but aside from that most don't have great stats so you are losing out on damage and survivability.

    2nd, most of your gems are 0% quality, and you can improve your power by getting ones with desirable bonuses up to 20%. You can do this with a level 20 gem using one gemcutter prism by selling the prism and the level 20 gem to any vendor and they will give you a level 1, 20% quality gem back, so you'll have to re-level them, but once you're in maps it doesn't take a huge amount of time.

    Nitpick points:
    - you don't have enough mana / mana reservation efficiency to activate all your auras so out of grace, defiance and purity of elements one has to be shut off, I'm guessing this is probably just due to being lower level than the build you're following, so that may come with more points.
    - if purity of elements is the aura that is turned off the gem Stormshroud is doing nothing (except 10% lightning res), and if purity of elements is turned on Stormshroud still does nothing since purity of elements also gives complete elemental ailment avoidance
    - the anointment on your amulet is pointless since it looks like you already have that ability allocated on your tree
    - your life looks to be 3,278 which is very low, probably due to using mostly uniques. Life above 4,500 is pretty much a necessity in red maps to avoid one-shots unless you have some other trickery going on which I don't believe this build does.
    - you should do the last labyrinth since those two points in your ascendancy are probably meant to go into Heart of Darkness which would move your DPS from 486K (if I setup all the POB configs right) to 653K, which is still on the low side, but about 33% higher than it is now. I calculated using just Arc since Vaal Arc isn't up 100% of the time.
    - Maybe silly saying this, but make sure you're using the right Arc skill, I see the build has two of them, one in a 6 link and one in a 2 link.
    - Your gems could use a good upgrade, the Dragon Blood crimson jewel is just there for resists as the other abilities don't help you and the Foul Oculus ghastly eye jewel does basically nothing since your golem damage is negligible and the evasion boost while moving only changes your evade chance from 46% to 51%

    Someone else who is better with builds than me can check out other stuff, I'm not sure if the skills in your links are the best or not and I'm still mainly just following guides myself.

    I don’t turn on Purity of Elements any more since getting the Mageblood. Also don’t use that other Arc. The build I’m following is a bit confusing because it has 2 Arcs, each with different 6-links.

    Stormshroud doesn’t work with the ability on Inpulsa’s Broken Heart? Again, build I was following had it.

    Anointment on amulet was just a thing it had when I bought it. I can’t take it off or everything goes red lol.

    I'm just going by the ailment immunities in POB, it shows shock effect of 0% and 100% for everything else so might be an oversight in POB? Or it could be a GGG confusing wording thing, the gem says "Modifiers to Chance to Avoid being Shocked apply to all Elemental Ailments" while Impulsa's says "Unaffected by Shock", not that it has a 100% chance to avoid being shocked. You'd be able to tell pretty easy since if you are immune to all you'll never be frozen, so if mobs or freeze chests can root you in place then you're not cold ailment immune.

    You can change the anointment on the amulet if you have any blight oils, the build probably has one picked out for you.

    I can confirm they added the dodge roll, ala Diablo 4/D3 Console, and it looks really fucking good.

    Stormshroud definitely does not work with Inpulsa's. Inpulsa's doesn't stop you from being shocked, it just makes being shocked do nothing. Yes, that's a fine distinction; it is very important for exactly the kinda stuff you wanna do here.

    That video looks a lot like the flow of Lost Ark. While I'd like to see Lost Ark mechanics+PoE build variety (even if at high investment those two things would culminate in PoE hyperspeed bs) I suspect a lot of the playerbase of PoE wouldn't.

    The consensus is that with the new way gem slots work (links are on gems, not on equipment, you should be able to have several 6-links), they are trying hard to introduce multiple button builds into the game and you'll be incentivized to scale multiple abilities.

    Exactly how they're going to do that I have no idea.... I certainly don't want a cooldown on my Arc.

    one of the major issues with the poe1 animation system was basically any kind of animation state sensitive stuff so they are trying to use that space to make loads of new melee and ranged stuff that feels a lot better given that everything in poe2 is using a proper system. u can kinda see it with the hop backwards comet casting animation from the first trailer

    i have been trying to get them to put in more opt-in secondary resource or cooldown management mechanics - where u can essentially construct ur own secondary resource system and then use it how u want for diff aspects of ur character - for yonks but broadly they kinda have avoided that space partly because the first attempts were degen due to a lil bit of careless design (eg charges) and partly because the game was already pushing towards multi button builds and i think the extreme tension for gem slot space has kinda put a damper on things.

    i dont have any good info on what internal economies they are going to have to actually make this work but i am cautiously optimistic simply that having vastly better animation state management and fluidity will lead to more interestingly designed lego pieces to work with

    Been a year and a half since I played. Loaded up my Pathfinder character. I seem to remember having more flask modifiers than this (flask duration +30%, increased charges +65%). Was there a big nerf to nodes on the skill tree or am I just crazy

    Bummer. But it looks like cluster jewels can make up the difference.

    Is there a unique flask out there that causes damage yet. I keep wanting to use that umbilicus unique to cause zombies+specters to mass chug and do big boom.

    There are specific unique end game jewels that will allow you to allocate passives in the radius of a keystone. They can be extremely powerful but good ones are very expensive. They drop from the Maven encounter: https://www.poewiki.net/wiki/Impossible_Escape

    Man I just got to unlocking stuff in the Atlas and the first time I opened that I went cross-eyed I have no idea what any of these do.

    Also jeez they should just have a unique that makes link skills reservation based. Or just make link skills reservation by default. Having to constantly recast on minions is lame.

    I ... feel like Enkindled flasks should absolutely, positively, 100% not be viable targets for Mageblood. Kind of silly that you can just skip the entire balancing factor of a huge +70% effect boost like that.

    I just consider that the benefit of having an ultra rare chase item - I wish there were more of them; let them be that strong, especially since they hit that real sweet spot with mageblood not ever really being build defining, but feels like it makes every build better.

    This is the future. This is what we built. This is what we wanted. It must have been. Because we all had the fucking choice, didn't we? It is only our money that allows commercial culture to flower. If we didn't want to live like this, we could have changed it at any time, by not fucking paying for it.

    So let's celebrate by all going out and buying the same burger. -transmet
