Typos creeping in to old comic captions

Several times recently, I've spotted a typo in an older strip in the archives, and thought "hmm, odd, I don't remember that typo being there...". For the longest time, typos on comics were so rare that G & T made a joke of it (e.g. the "a two Cintiqs" error in the Photoshop Hero strip). Now, there are several. I presume this is because someone on the team is going through and re-rendering all the speech bubbles so that they don't overspill their frames in the new vertical & comic mashup layouts.
Here's an example: https://www.penny-arcade.com/comic/2000/11/03/i-think-we-got-everybody
Note "Deux[sic] Ex" on the first panel.
Does it matter, in the grand scheme of things? Probably not. But I thought I'd mention it anyway.

Much more of this and I shall be forced to cancel my subscription and write a stern letter to the Times of London. :)
